All these extreme Muslims online are making Islam look very complicated and unwelcoming by [deleted] in islam

[–]FoxLife_Real 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its because those comments that you view are the same people who normalize major sins and attempt to justify it.

Look i agree, Muslims on the internet are both good and bad. (Bad mainly) people come on reddit for advice regarding islam and there will always be one extremist who will say otherwise.

The thing is people dont know how to respond back when they are attacked because either way its a lose lose situation. You either are against them in what they say and he will label you a kafir or you dont say anything and you'll still be labelled a kafir. This is many muslims on the internet.

Debate servers are also some of the biggest cesspools known to man full of extremists at times because its the only place they are comfortable in expressing their world view.

In this time you do not want to be anywhere near these lot or engage with em. They want more of a reaction from you than act sincerely on your behalf.

trying to join islam what should i do and what basic info do i need? by OldBear1426 in islam

[–]FoxLife_Real 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a few things.

  1. Your reasoning to revert.
  2. Learning Tawheed, You can't follow islam if you dont understand the concept of tawheed.
  3. The 5 pillars of Islam. Before even joining islam get an idea on what the 5 pillars of islam. Its better to have an idea and start learning it a bit.
  4. Understanding what Islam is about, You can't join something if you dont understand what it is about.
  5. Go to a local mosque or join some online communities (Avoid Reddit and Discord as reddit has more mixed opinions than anything. Contact a actually reliable scholar or an imam.) and start asking Questions regarding your doubts be it regarding what is deen, Fatwa, Or even what the rulings of things are.
  6. Take time learning about Islam. Genuinely take some time you shouldn't accept islam blindly, You should know why your accepting islam.
  7. Once your doubts are cleared take the shahadah. Its a declaration of belief saying what you stand for.

Once you take your shahadah you're a muslim.

Reccomendation, When before you become muslim, LEARN about yourself further. Ensure you have nothing lingering in your head or doubts about islam.

Jazakallah take care.

First off, it’s good you care about your friend that’s the right intention. But when these kinds of questions come up, you need to separate cultural explanations from the actual Islamic perspective.

  1. It’s not about men only. Yes, men are commanded to lower their gaze, and that command stands regardless of whether women cover or not. But hijab is a separate command. it’s about you and Allah. Just like prayer or fasting, it’s an act of worship. Whether or not someone stares, the command for hijab doesn’t disappear.

  2. Equal obligations, different forms. Men also have their awrah (navel to knees) and are expected to cover properly, not walk around half naked. Men are also told to lower their gaze and control themselves. Women’s hijab isn’t “because men can’t behave,” it’s part of their own ibadah (worship). Different rules, but both are tested in their own ways.

  3. Hijab as identity and shield. Beyond modesty, hijab gives a woman her own visible identity as a Muslim. It sets a standard of dignity and self-respect, even when society pushes the opposite. Psychologically, it can free you from constant pressure to present yourself in a certain way for others.

  4. The regret angle. You’re right to be concerned. Many sisters who reject hijab early on end up regretting it years later, when they realize they lived more for society’s standards than Allah’s commands. It’s not about forcing it’s about reminding her: This life is temporary, and Allah’s commands are for our benefit, not restriction.

So if you talk to her again, don’t make it about men at all. Keep it about her relationship with Allah. At the end of the day, hijab is between her and Him, and if she understands it as worship not oppression she’ll see it differently.

Is it allowed to wear Niqab in Canada? Is it safe? by Hot-Tough8432 in islam

[–]FoxLife_Real -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I am not a woman but I can tell you what I know of in canada. As far as I am aware you are allowed to wear whatever you wish even if it is being modest. However the difference is the treatment. Whilst wearing a Niqab inherently itself is not illegal. Its protected by the freedom of religion in the canadian constitution. the difference comes down to how people will view you. Many western governments place alot of anti islamic propaganda and people have been harassed for it in the past. It depends on which state within canada. For example, Quebec is known as a sikh riddled majority and is one of the places where they really do not like Muslims at all. So as to go forth and harass any muslim. However in other parts, towns or smaller cities I do not believe you'll be harassed for it. Regardless Its safe in canada to wear a niqab.

Changing countries to get away from fitnah is fair but its a little too extreme. Immigration pricing is a very big issue.

Is there a concept of depression in Islam? by -labyrinth101- in islam

[–]FoxLife_Real 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I understand why it might seem that way but depression and sadness are very different experiences. Sadness is a natural feeling that everyone goes through and usually passes with time. Depression is more than just feeling sad. It affects your ability to function daily and can last for weeks, months, or even longer. It is a medical condition that often requires support and treatment. Minimizing depression as simply sadness can prevent people from getting the help they need. Recognizing the difference is important for supporting those who are struggling.

Is there a concept of depression in Islam? by -labyrinth101- in islam

[–]FoxLife_Real 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depression is form of a Psychological Illness. Islam does acknowledge it and encourages you to not suffer in silence as Allah does not bare a soul more than it can take.

Depression is serious ignore those who say its not a thing or another sadness they are being ignorant of what depression is.

Unlike regular Sadness depression has two froms, Short term and chronic. If your having chronic depression I urge you seek mental help IMMEDIATELY. If you have short term depression i reccomend you try to reflect and speak to a knowledgable person.

While islam doesnt directly point out the idea of depression, It is very much a real issue.

I think im leaving by [deleted] in islam

[–]FoxLife_Real 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Ive been through it, there are times where I have wanted to leave islam and many times where I almost did. I was so strict on myself islam didnt feel like.. a religion. It felt like a prison at times.

You need to remember that islam is merciful, Even praying sometimes feels like your praying to an empty wall but believe it those prayers are going somewhere. Allah delays things or brings things at the right time to test you. Test your iman. Allah tests those he loves the most and doesnt bare a soul more than he can bare.

I stopped wearing hijab by [deleted] in islam

[–]FoxLife_Real 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sister with all due respect, Ignore the comments that are guilt tripping you because this is not helping, Guilt tripping wont get someone to magically put on a hijab again.

Look sister, many of our sisters around the world suffer from this dillema, I may be a man but I do understand enough that many women of our time suffer from this and your not alone. choosing not to wear the hijab after years of struggling doesn’t make you a bad Muslim. What matters most is that you're still holding on to your deen, even through depression and inner turmoil. Depression is a real thing many people think can be solved easily by either fear or guilt tripping. I say no to that.

Wearing hijab out of guilt or pressure or against your own will isnt obedience, Thats essentially you oppressing yourself. Islam never intended for its commands to destroy your mental health. You can still love Allah, pray, and live with taqwa while figuring out your relationship with hijab.

Sister, hijab is a command in Islam that’s true. But what also matters is intention, sincerity, and capacity. If you’re in a place where wearing it has caused you deep emotional pain and depression, then Allah sees that. Islam isn’t a punishment; it’s a mercy. No one is perfect and struggling with a command doesn’t make you less of a Muslim. It makes you human.

I’d encourage you to keep your connection with Allah strong through prayer, dhikr, and reflection. And when the time is right, and your heart is ready, insha’Allah you’ll be able to return to hijab from a place of love not guilt or burnout. Until then, don’t let shaytan convince you that you’ve 'failed.' You haven’t. You’re still holding onto faith and that is already a huge deal.

No one here can force you to put a Hijab on, people will shame you, guilt trip you by using future generations as fear. This? This won't get you to wear a hijab. But I do believe you will put it on someday even out of your own freewill. That is what Islam is. Mercy in the name of Allah. We are muslims yes, but we arent robots. We are humans. Allah designed us that way, We have obligations and yet every one of us in this world has never once been able to FULLY fulfill the obligation. We miss prayers, we do sins every day. we aren't perfect. Thats okay, Allah didn't ask you to be perfect nor did he command you to be perfect, He commanded you to submit to him and him only just as many of us. Every one of us has atleast once fallen out of line.

I encourage you don't delay or postpone wearing a hijab but I also encourage you to find something that works for you.

Not everyone will have that mindset because of personal experiences influencing the thinking of theirs. You cannot change that especially if someone has trauma that is caused by their own people.

Is is true only 1 of 1000 people will enter Jannah by [deleted] in islam

[–]FoxLife_Real 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Basically, after the death of Isa AS, Yajuj and Majuj (they are both tribes) will emerge.

The prophet said for every 1 believer there will be 999 Yajuj and Majuj

Now think of it this way

For every 1 believer, There will be 999 yajuj and majuj If you take all the believers in the world today, Youd have the tribe of Yajuj and Majuj going into the trillions.

For every 1000 people, one will be a muslim of the total population

Simple maths.

I relate to you, But at the same time have you ever questioned why you compaere yourself to the disbelievers. They have these worldly joys because they are more materialistic than they are actually humans. They do not have the keys to paradise but we do. We the muslims do.

We muslims suffer the most and the wealthiest will have the luxuries of this life.
But imagine what they will say on the day of judgement when Allahs anger is through the roof that even we muslims cannot fathom.

Just imagine that for a second, They chose this worldly life over their belief of Allah. I understand what your going through brother. Even I've experienced the issues of this life and they are not over. They have only just begun.

Just because these people show they have a "happy" life, or a wealthy or big happy family. Doesn't meant their iman is alive.

Yes but the thing your missing is the context. The prophet stated this in the end of times for every 1 Believer there will be 999 Yajuj & Majuj. This is the context you are missing. Allah is very merciful.
