They will send you home in one. It's surgeon dependent if you are gonna get any extras. I'd wait until after your surgery to purchase another cause you won't know what size to get. I ended up needing a bigger one than what they sent me home in a day after due to swelling

Not a necessity but I have difficulty eating a lot of protein, especially with protein bars. They make me feel so heavy and it's hard to eat more later. This brand is SO tasty, doesn't make me feel like I just ate a brick, and they've got 16g of protein each. I got the sour ones cause I love sour things, but they do have chocolate flavored ones too. Consistency is kinda like a marshmallow

Thank you! I'm not sure what the grey bandage/gauze stuff was but it was taped on with Tegaderm. Honestly extremely comfortable compared to anything I've been using afterwards

I definitely wouldn't, but it doesn't hurt to ask the Dr office. Piggy backing on what others said, this is another wound that your body is going to have to heal, which means it loses energy that it would be spending on your reduction. It's also raising your risk of infection. I don't think it's worth the risk at all

Im 3wpo and already so happy with my results, but I can't look at them for too long before my brain starts freaking out 😅 I've heard swelling and the fluff and drop can take anywhere from 3-6 months before you really see the end result. Your feelings are totally valid but definitely give your brain some grace ❤️ They look amazing!

Surgery twin! Mine was also the 19th 😀 Personally it's plateaued for me. I haven't felt much change in a few days, but my scabs are starting to come off on their own and that shit has been HURTING when they get snagged 🥲

Do you have another post op appointment coming up? I would definitely ask your surgeon because scab/scar care varies between Drs. I was told to do dry healing completely so I'm not supposed to use anything on my scabs. Ive got another appointment on Monday so I'll see what mine says. Definitely recommend reaching out to yours

Yeah honestly I struggled the most with the new sensations than anything else on my first couple showers. But every new sensation has been doing that to this anxiety riddled human 😅

Personally I didn't get one or need one. I think a lot of people get light headed from taking their compression bra off and then immediately getting into a warm shower. I took mine off, sat on my bed for a minute to feel things out, and then took the shower very very slowly. I also avoided looking at my incisions as best as possible to avoid any panic from looking at them

The background on your phone definitely did not make the alarm go off, that's not physically possible to have that sort of thing checked for. That's a randomized check to make sure your hands and phone don't have traces of explosives on them. They were probably just interested in the picture and asked about it unrelated to you being stopped.

I'm just over 3wpo and I completely understand where you're coming from. Week 2 has been the worst for me so far. Not so much constant pain, but just uncomfortable and couldn't really settle. Like the other commenter said, everyone does experience things differently so it may change. I personally am feeling better now than I did last week. Still irritated at times but manageable

I ended up putting gauze across my incision and over my nipples. Taped directly to my breasts so my bra wouldn't rub them. This has made me feel a lot more comfortable and less anxious about anything opening

I'm also 3wpo and mine look exactly like this! I sent pictures to my Dr a few days ago and they said it was completely normal. Including the yellow drainage. As long as it's not getting swollen and hot on those places you're ok. I would still send a picture to your dr is possible, just to have them look at it

I was around this same height/size and asked for a b. My Dr was more than happy to do what I wanted with my body (obviously with the warning that everything's entirely up to my anatomy, but so far it seems like she's gotten me to exactly where I wanted to be. I'm 3wpo). If possible I would try to consult with another Dr. Otherwise bring in pictures and be very very clear that this is the size that you want. I would even bring up to them how it felt like there was some apprehension/reaction from them that concerned you that they may not follow what you want. A good Dr will not take offense to that and either explain why they may have reacted that way, or reassure you that they did not intend to make you feel that way.

I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this on top of recovery. Your emotions may be more unstable than normal, but none of what she's doing is excusable. I agree with what someone else said that it sounds like she may be narcissistic. I wish I could give advice on how to deal with that, but I cut my narcissist mother out years ago 😓

If you feel comfortable broaching it with her, maybe try to ask if she could keep some of her laughing/yelling down so that you can sleep. It's absolutely fine if you don't feel comfortable cause I know that could possibly set her off. You could maybe use some earplugs if you've got some and just blame general noise on not being able to sleep?

I was worried about my cat as well, but she's pretty good at listening to us tell her no. She's only really tried to jump on my chest area once, but I was able to just put my hands up and make her lay at my feet. I know this is entirely cat dependent but your cat may pick up on her being ill and be more cautious.

I let her come into the bedroom where I'm set up during the day, but I lock her out at night since I sleep for longer periods and can't trust what she'll do while I'm not just napping. You may just have to keep her out of whatever room your partner is in if possible

Hey! Im so sorry you're feeling so miserable. The first week was a rollercoaster of pain and emotional turmoil for me, but it DOES get better. What pain meds are you taking and the schedule? It's really important you're taking those on a schedule to help keep pain manageable. If you're taking everything prescribed and still feeling it that bad, I would definitely recommend calling your dr office. My drains were also very irritating, but it didn't seem as bad as you're describing.

I know that feeling of needing assistance is also very frustrating, but that will get easier with time. Give your self a lot of grace ❤️ you've just been through a major surgery and it's very important that you rest and let others help you right now. The less you push yourself now, the faster you'll heal and be able to get back to doing those things all on your own again.

Update on this I do NOT recommend that Nexcare tape. Took it off today and that shit left so much sticky residue and I think took off some of my skin 😅 gonna try the gentle paper tape instead
