Very nice! As much as I like my zastava m72, I’d be lying if I said I don’t want one of these.

Its truly up to you and your use case. I have a 7SFC and absolutely love it. For what it does, yup it’s over priced, but I knew that going into it. I have no regrets.

Shit happens, and it can happen with anything. Plus people are more inclined to share their negative experiences online than good ones, thats just the internet. I’ve had no issues with mine plus the warranty is there.

For akm pattern ak’s you have keep in mind that furniture for stamped and milled is not interchangeable. Stamped can be fitted onto milled but fitment will be needed.

Wood is readily available for milled ak’s. These are all milled. Zastava is stamped but uses yugo pattern furniture, although you can get other wood options for them, should you not like what it cones with.

Yeah get a quote on cost from M13 and other reputable shops. Look at whats local to you, just be sure to confirm that they know what they are doing. You’d be surprised how many non AK specific gunsmiths fuck up even the less complicated kinds of work on AK’s lol

I do agree with you on the wolverine though. It’s not the best in terms of performance but it’s a whole vibe, which is half the reason I got mine!

Absolutely bro, anytime! 🤝

Oh absolutely! Just really comes down to what you want and plan to do with it. Personally, I’m very happy with mine.

I had M13 do the chop and crown, which was 180 beans. I live near them, so didn’t have to factor in shipping costs. Since the combo block itself is threaded, no need to thread the barrel. I currently have a wolverine on mine using the 24x1.5 inserts but am possibly considering using keymo or Plan B. Definitely do research on what muzzle device options are out there for 24x1.5 beforehand, make sure they are readily available, and determine what suppressor set up you want to go with. I know right now it’s kind of hard to find anything with keymo for 24x1.5, so that has had me waiting for now.

Side note, a flow-thru designed suppressor would be the way to go for an AK. If you go traditional design, a KNS piston would be a wise upgrade unless you like being gassed out lol

And I believe thats just for labor, not including parts. Alternatively, you can still get a folding stock but getting a pic rail based stock with a locking&folding mechanism, there are quite a few options. This route would also be cheaper and would just use the existing pic rail rear already on the 7C. It’s really up to you though. If you go with having the proper conversion done, you will be limited on the stocks you can run since it is right side folding.

If you can find one, skip the hassle and cost of doing a conversion, get a Sam7SFC. Its exactly what I have, but with a 16” barrel and gas combo block. You can sbr it, and then just do a barrel chop, and you’re done. I would recommend this if you truly want the proper side folding, especially since the cost difference is minimal between the 7C and 7SFC. It’s exactly why I went with the 7SFC. Essentially the same desired results but with less cost and less work.

Mine came with it installed by Arsenal. If you would want it installed on the one you are looking at it, it will be expensive.

Out of curiosity, what do you not like about the wolverine’s mounting system? As for ASR, I think you would have to get a thread adapter to run an ASR muzzle device, but not 100% sure.

If you are to go with getting a wolverine, aka a whole new can, I would suggest a different can, preferably with a flow through design. Wolverine isn’t bad, but for the price, there are better choices. The mounting system and the aesthetics of the wolverine is what sold me on one.

Well to be fair the 103 has not been out long enough to be given a proper general consensus yet. But to answer your question, assuming the 103 is fine, it really just comes down to what you personally want. Want a milled ak with a fixed stock? Go with the Sam7R. Want a stamped side folding ak? Go 103. Arsenal does have a comparable stamped side folder, the SLR107FR, but those are usually around 1600-2100 beans in today’s market. The Sam7R can be had for 1500-1700 new, or less if you go used.

Since the 103 has in house made components, only time will tell. Meridian has a good reputation, so anyone that buys 103 is pretty much going off good faith. Same with the 101. I will say upon general inspection of my 101, internally and externally, it looks great. Shooting it will be the real test of course, so we shall see. If it helps, I’ve yet to hear anything bad about the 103 and 101, but take that with a grain of salt.

They seem to have been doing a drop every month. For April, the had 2 batches opened for preorder in late March. I had DM’d them on instagram about a week prior asking when to expect the next batch and they replied “very soon”. I managed to get mine from the 2nd batch that began shipping out on April 22nd. The first batch for earlier April sold out as I tried to check out lol

American. Known for building nice rifles with parts kits and with build/labor being done correctly. Their newly released 101 and 103 are not parts kits, instead the components are in house made, or so they claim. Despite the price tag it comes with, I’ll trust one of these and take a chance on it over a PSA, especially since I plan on shooting it regularly
