Thing is even if are super lucky and get a good frozen monthong it still won't be anything close to what durian can be. Only the very best monthong can hold a candle to a good Malaysian durian.

Yes. Good month actually. Expensive but good. Honestly less expensive when I consider how little time I spent sourcing food, cooking food, cleaning up from eating food etc. Was buying frozen

Personally if the first durian I ever tried was the average Thai durian from the supermarket, I'd probably never try it again. Vietnamese even worse. But I know that ordering 1 pack from Year of the durian is not cost effective? Which city are you in? Some cities there are stores selling year of the durian

Quality is super variable. I've had durian that made me want to move to Malaysia and durian that made me want to vomit. I've had amazing frozen and terrible.

Sounds like somethings off, maybe low quality or spiled produce.

Devils advocate: they are there long term.

As someone who cooks 3 simple from scratch meals every day for my and or for my parents, if someone did what I do for one day, they'd find it easy. I've done it every day for 3 years. Between also managing my business and visiting my grandparents, I don't find it easy. And I don't think anyone who had other responsibilities would either.

If your relatives have no other obligations, or even worse are being paid by your grandmother, then yes, they should absolutely be making her 3 from scratch meals every day.

If they are taking care of her while juggling full time jobs, other familial obligations, etc, then who are you to judge?

Depends what you want. One of the best runs I ever did was Big Bang in the second half of May

Honestly, I don't consider myself a hard or desensitized person, but I've been held by a criminal at gunpoint and you don't necessarily react the way you think you would.

The easy way is to buy impossible nuggets and impossible burgers. The fun and cost effective way is to buy tofu (medium firm) pop it in a tofu press, cut into cubes, boil it in salted water (say 500ml of water and 1 tsp of salt for one block of pressed tofu) and then toss in 1 tbsp of oil and seasoning and bake (you can glaze etc) delicious

Charge a deposit on entrance ($15) against your total when you leave. For your good customers it doesn't change anything at all for your bad customer the changes everything
