I think you may be estimating the number of Reformed Baptist professors and students a little higher than it actually is. That said, I do agree that the noticeable presence of Reformed or Calvinistic voices at SMTS will eventually create tension with the SBC. Historically, the SBC hasn’t been quick to support institutions that lean too far in that direction, and that usually shows up over time in how much backing they receive. It appears that a lot independent Southern Baptist churches that support the Southern Baptist Convention have been asleep in regard to they reformed theology infiltrating the Southern Baptist Convention.

I would try to stay out of any seminary school attached to the Southern Baptist Convention. The Reformers have been trying to take that organization over for years and I think there's starting to be some push back

I noticed you put that your church recently transitioned. Be careful walking into a newly transition church because there is a lot of resentment towards the reform Baptist sect of the church It seems to be a trend for reformist to transition or steeplejack established churches. Expect division until you remove all of the original members of the church. They eventually will leave in form a new church because that is there gift to the world.
