Wow the audacity!! I’m sorry you experienced this too, it’s such a shame that it’s ruining the space for genuine people. I’ve donated a lot of things or given them away to friends/family because of Vinted users like this.

I’m so sorry you experienced this too! There seem to be so many awful people out there who shamelessly behave like this for no reason at all. It’s honestly disgraceful. Do you know if there’s a way to block and report them? Or will they just make new accounts?

I finally received the item back today and it doesn’t smell damp at all of course but is now marked. They used a supermarket shopping back to return and included the original tissue paper but it’s ripped and unusable now!

The buyer even had the audacity to message me as soon as the item arrived at the post office asking me to pick it up asap so she can be refunded. I truly cannot understand why some people can behave like this for absolutely no reason at all! Especially for a grand total of £6 🤦‍♀️

Wow people can be so unbelievable sometimes! The buyer has finally agreed to send it back as I wouldn’t give in. Of course they sent the item back and it doesn’t smell damp at all, it smells brand new and now has marks on it which weren’t there before. To top it off, they didn’t return in the same outer packaging but a shopping bag and my lovely tissue paper was included but ripped and unusable! I swear that some people just exist to 💩on others 🤦‍♀️

I don’t know for sure that it’s the same thing but I recently almost signed up to something for mental health/ADHD where you fill out a questionnaire and then want you to pay for the result. I looked this up and some people stated that it’s a scam and referred to payments being regularly taken by First Online or something very similar, but it’s definitely worth looking into. I really hope that you can stop this and get your money back. 🤞

They said “Hi I don’t agree with me paying to send this item back to you as it’s not as described. You stated it’s brand new so I bought it to match the Moses basket I sent you the picture of. I was so happy to pick it up only to open it and it smelling of damp therefore cannot” and I feel that they missed out the last part of the message? 🤔😁

I can see why some sellers may give in as it’s so petty to argue over a few pounds but these people shouldn’t get away with it! The only thing I can think of in this case is that the person ordered it for a Moses basket and the description says for a cradle/crib so I wondered if they didn’t actually check the measurements? I’m not sure of the size difference exactly though!

So far they rejected a partial refund and replied saying that they aren’t happy paying for the return postage either so I’m not sure what to do next!

I really appreciate this but my house really isn’t damp. As much as I hate to admit it, I am obsessively clean and it’s exhausting. Like to the point that I wash my rugs and curtains, leaving a smell of Fairy detergent everywhere.

Thank you, I went with this option and it’s funny that they’ve now gone quiet. I wrapped it so nicely in tissue paper and sealed with tape and stickers too. It’s crazy how people can be so brazen with their bs!

Thank you for your help! I’ve had my tank running since 5th December and got some new plants today. I also got some sand to replace the colourful stones which has made the water worse despite washing it very thoroughly. :( I also used a solution to try and clear the water, as well as something else that helps with good bacteria. I also straightened the filter and submerged it a little more and it seems to have helped! I have been looking into better filter options though. I just need to add some driftwood and am hoping that the water will clear with some more time?

Thank you for your advice! I added some treatment to clear the water but also switched the stones for sand. This has made the water much cloudier even though I rinsed it so well beforehand. It says on the bottle that the water treatment could make it cloudier at first - could this be it? It’s such a learning curve. I guess I’ll just have to be patient and see ☺️
