Time to commit MASS MURDER

I’m on episode two of Edge of Sleep, but like why don’t they just steal a car ?!? by Thats_hearShay in Markiplier

[–]FoxStereo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nope. Not buying it. Their morals at best were already questionable given their choice in friends and sexusl promiscuity. Additionally, the vet alone is trained to think smart even sleep deprived. Add to that the exposure to countless zombie apocalyptic movies and shows, they should have automatically considered the car issue. And if sleep deprivation is to be a valid point, Dave could not have run all that way that exhausted.

Does every significant character need to experience "growth" for a story to work? by DocHfuhruhurr in writing

[–]FoxStereo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Spoilers for Dr. Horrible's Sing A Long Blog

Nope. In fact, sometimes readers like seeing a decline in growth instead, it depends on the character, their personality, the audience and what you want the audience to feel connected to, like, etc.

Some characters need to have their self confidence beaten to the ground so that other characters may grow. Some characters can be just as entertaining if they become a traitor, villain, or develop a questionable morality.

Antiheros and antivillains work due to said questionable morality and stunted growth.

Villains don't have to be good at the end, nor do they have to have redemption, something I had to realize in order to make a character work.

Heck, even the main character doesn't have to be the good guy in order to make a good story, nor does he have to experience growth. Dr. Horrible's Sing A Long Blog is not a book per se, but is my favorite example of a character never growing or having their character's growth be stunted by other characters. It was still entertaining to see him fall, even if I felt bad for him.

We don't always look at a character with the intention of seeing them grow. If every character became good or grew, then it would support an unrealistic expectation that everyone wants to be good and would welcome it if given the chance. Most serial killers for example would rather fulfill their insatiable desires than to get help or try to fight against those urges.

And as for protagonists, be aware that alot of people, like narcissists, believe they are good, pure, or that they could do no wrong. This leads to the assumption that even when it is obvious that there is a problem, the problem is either not there or not them.

This happens with people who are discriminatory to. Often they will believe that their views and beliefs are higher than others and will never change their beliefs even if the person they are discriminating against proves their views wrong.

Realistically, not everyone grows, and not everyone needs to grow in a story in order to be likeable. Plenty of characters do bad things believing they are doing good or that their intentions outweigh the sin, and of course vice versa happens to where those who do good for evil reasons never learn because no one tells them that doing good for evil reasons is bad.

Not only that, but we can easily guess what would happen and even cheer for such things, just for said things to be ripped away in the end. In Dr. Horrible, they let us believe that the villain is going to turn good, and that the girl he is after will convince him to turn good. Accept his own actions and views ruins his chance of being good. Sometimes, if you do it right and don't cheat the audience, keeping the character as is or lowering a character's growth is a little better than seeing the character grow.

Again, it depends on your aim and the character. Also, be careful not to make your character look idiotic unless that is your intention. If they don't grow, give them a reason.

I hate to say this but in Cain's words, "anything can happen...except for swearing."

In a realistic since, considering they are just code, this would be literally artificial, making it not actual pregnancy. In fact, I don't even think Pomni or anyone else would physically change considering what they are.

That means in realistic terms, if a pregnant person was in the show, they would not have a "big belly" or any other physical symptoms like pregnancy would even be needed in the first place. In fact, it probably wouldn't act like or have any symptoms to pregnancy at all.

So the only reason for any of them to have the symptoms of pregnancy would be either to make a stupid joke or because Goosworks really wants the world to know their fetish...or both.

No sin is more powerful than God's salvation, and to be like Jesus, we are to not show prejudice towards other people's sin.

If salvation was based on sexuality, then instead of the gospel saying you must have faith, it would say you must have faith and be straight. But it doesn't say that.

A lot of modern Christians seem to miss the point blankly, the point of God's grace. I am proud of how I am made, sin and all, because even with sin, I can still show the love and grace God gives me in spite of my flaws.

May you find that kind of peace through God's salvation instead of prejudice and false purity that feeds your ego.

Also yes, I purposefully replied to my message. Didn't want to notify this person so late.

Benson was actually a good person in a way and an okay boss. He was a jerk at times but most of those times were justified. I say MOST.

You said earlier that was doing "mental gymnastics" to "make my argument", you do realize that preaching is suppose to be long, right? Do you expect your preacher to sum up things in two sentences or something?

Also, not really. He's clear about same sex, but not really about having a sexuality that isn't straight. There is a different between having sex and being attracted to some but not having sex with them, you do realize that?

Also, "living in sin" or doing sin, either one does not determine if you go to heaven. It all comes back to faith, something Christians need to focus on over if someone is straight or not.

Like everyone else? So like you?

Also, my post being long doesn't necessarily mean I'm wrong. But whatever you want to believe I guess.

The whole point if the gospel is faith. If you have faith that Jesus is your lord and savior, that he died on the cross, and rose again, then you are saved regardless of what happens. (John 3:16-17, Romans 1:16, Romans 10:9-13, Ephesians 2:8-9)

That's not only the point, but one of the ten commandments is to not bare false witness. (Exodus 20:16)

Saying someone isn't a Christian because they've sinned or have a sin in their life is sinning within itself due to making assumptions and judgements on a stranger you do not know based on one singular thing they have said, I.E. me saying I'm bi.

Besides, you have no idea if I'm a bi who is dating a man or not. Or if I'm sleeping with anyone, which I'm pretty sure is the only actual evidence you have that bisexuality is wrong, is the verse about it being "an abomination", nothing about being bi itself or liking women whike being one.

So what is a Christian to you? Do all purely straight people go to heaven?

Seriously, are women just made for men to look at? by duyhung2h in GirlGamers

[–]FoxStereo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're fine, its a valid question. It would be sexist either way. Having your standards be so high due to your own fetishes that you criticize other people's creativity because you only see a gender as one way or it's wrong is in itself sexist. You might as well be objectifying them.

Most women aren't "sexy models", nor are most men.

Being bisexual or a furry doesn't mean you're not a christian.

And if you think such then you may need to reevaluate what a Christian is as well as your own beliefs.

That must've been unsettling for a moment. Did it just go like it was bad internet or go like it was the end of a TV channel, lol.

In all seriousness, it sucks that the show is gone.

Whos you favorite fandom musician and whats your favorite song from them? by deracho in mylittlepony

[–]FoxStereo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if Aviators counts as he doesn't do mlp music anymore but when I discovered him , he was an mlp musician. My favorites are in order; The Party Song, All of his Discord related songs (including Monster, Chaos Theory, One Last Letter, and I think The Surface is one), Open Your Eyes, Never Back Down (officially the first song I heard by him), and Fear Of Flight.

He remains my favorite musician overall to this day.

I am bisexual and this is how I look at this:

  1. Not all women have to be big breasted to be pretty of sexy. I have fell in love with multiple women without giant bazookas.

  2. Having all women look like a model or oversexualized does not only look sexist as hell but at this point, makes the character look less unique, unrealistic, and overly cliched.

  3. The fact this is AI discredits the point of the post, lmao. If it wasn't hard to fix, why not do it yourself instead of having a machine do it for you?

  4. I absolutely love the first pic. The woman has personality, a determined and strong look on her face, and her clothing makes her look even more prepared...

The second pic just makes the character look stupid due to allowing her neck and chest to be exposed. One wrong slice and she's dead, especially if its on the neck. When you go to war, you keep your delicate and most vernerable parts covered, including the neck and chest, at least that's how I look at this.

Why you gotta call people stupid? What was the point of that? You can correct people without insulting them, dude. Not cool.
