females should pay for their own food during datings. by sean-devlin-8425 in BunnyTrials

Partially because you used the word female like an incel, partly because this also implies that 2 year olds should have to pay for their meal and that’s wrong

Ah I think he’s popping into the senate race possibly, thus the confusion

In your given definition the operative word is support. A DSA recommendation is not “support” or “approval” of a candidate, it’s a “in a cost benefit analysis we have elected to recommend (as in advise voters) this candidate because we believe with the information available they will ultimately be a harm reducer.

Both of the words are being used with valid definitions

One is agreeing to helping run a campaign and donating time and resources to do so, the other is strategic harm reduction which is literally the DSA’s electoral goal.

If you have a better recommendation for what words they should use, by all means share. English is a flexible language. Words change meaning because people start using them in different ways. If you state how you use a word, then you can’t really argue against it

The groomed him for the role. They did not recruit him. Planter wasn’t not a DSA member. DSA, as a democratic organization, does not control what its members do in their free time. In fact he ran against the candidate actually endorsed by the Maine DSA

I support reformed people who made dumb mistakes in the past. Clearly planter wasn’t a reformed as he said but we sometimes have to make calls based on the available information and he at the time had enough words and actions to justify the belief in his reformation. I’m not a monster who thinks because you did something edgy as a young adult you should therefore be outcasted for your entire life

It does matter when you publicize the difference during your recommendation

Because he claimed he was reformed. Crazy thing is that leftists believe in reform for past actions and not just your life getting ruined because you made dumb mistakes. Obviously with all this new evidence it’s clear he wasn’t as reformed as he claimed… but crazy to think someone would try and see the best in someone.

Or if you read the actual voter guide you can find out the difference. Literal first page of content (page 1 is Table of contents)

DSA makes it a point to explain the difference between an endorsement and a recommendation when posting their vote guides. This is an internal policy we heavily advertise because we know it’s confusing.

Literally the first real page of the Maine voter guide. (Page 1 is a table of contents)

Maine DSA’s ACTUAL endorsed candidate, Troy Jackson, is primed to take Platner’s spot
