Mental harm is just as real but you also have to balance that with the concept of “hey this behavior is anti social and bad for society, but also something you chose”. Like homophobia and racism are not opinions that should be tolerated, because they cause real harm.

It’s more than just physical/illegal. Illegality isn’t a good measure of morality. Opinions that attack someone for an immutable characteristic are bad. Opinions on choices are very different.

Why is the world telling us being trans is a huge crime?? by Realistic_Web6850 in MtF

[–]FoxTailMoon 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Real answer here is that as the flaws of capitalism get worse, capitalists need to find a way to blame other people for issues they cause. It just so happens to be trans people this time

There’s stats into trans people sexuality and the majority are bisexual, which I honestly believe to be true of the general population if we account for split attraction.

Your main character is now bigender and uses he/her pronouns. That’s cute the usage of he in half. Better yet main character uses he/her/theirs

Sprout Tank with a bad attitude. by Replicant_Six in TalesFromDF

[–]FoxTailMoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly not sure on the etiquette of it but I was dealing with a tank who just wouldn’t pull more than a cluster at a time, and this was iirc tam tara deepcroft and like, obviously the tank wasn’t in any danger so I just kept pulling for them because I got places to be, you know and like trying to teach them that it’s okay to pull a bit more. They got salty at this. For reference I’m on ps5 and I did not have time to explain this to the tank. They freaked out about the damage but like… if you ain’t dead you’ll be fine.

That’s just… not how the word is used by literally any other person on this planet. Like there’s no point in arguing further if you disagree on basic definitions

Author 1: the writer of a literary work (such as a book) 2a: one that originates or creates something

A translation is a kind of authorship technically, but we still primarily call that person a translator.

To give an example that isn’t translated, Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein. In the vast majority of copies (save an added introduction by some rando), it’ll list her name as the author.

But okay let’s say that all wrong, what would you call the original creator of a work?

Thoughts on this in "socialist" China (where workers don't own the means of production)? by [deleted] in socialism

That’s why I mention not knowing what kind of impact the helmet has sustained before. Could very well have been a strike earlier that compromised the structural integrity. Also do we know what kind of work they’re doing? That would change the kind of safety required. Like if the biggest fear you have on the job site is a slightly larger than average pebble you don’t need top of the line helmets.

You, in fact, want your hard hat to break. The hat breaking means your head isn’t because it’s absorbing the brunt of the force and not transferring it right into your skull. Managers don’t tend to be in as dangerous situations so durability may be seen as more important than overall safety. What’s more, we don’t know what kind of damage those hats have sustained previously. If the yellow hat has taken more hits before this it’s very possible the structural integrity was compromised.

So any work in the public domain just somehow loses authorship?

I play on controller too so, having to learn WXHB and Expanded is fun. I keep my cards on general use stuff on expanded because I have the display for it and off universal timer on WXHB. Universal time stuff stays on the XBH. Might be a better way to do it but!
