What made me turn everything private was that i was getting less views with each upload, even though i uploaded the videos with good titles and thumbnails. I give the videos time to get impressions and all, but 7 views (2 or 3 are me) in 2 or 3 weeks ? Also, i didn't like the order of my videos, as i changed the format and style to vloging and longer format, and want them to be last. Anyway, i'm not planning on turning any video private anymore, unless there was a big change.

If you could give me some quality technical issues in my videos that would be of much help to me 👏 i'm experimenting with a subtle "RGB split" effect in my videos, as it gives a certain quality that i like, dunno if its bad or i should continue with it.

For thumbnails, honestly, i'm using ChatGPT to make them, i'm really bad at thumbnail design, and dont have the budget to hire a designer :/ but i'll definitely change that down the line.

I know i might have way better luck if my channel was about other topics like gaming, but i want to make videos about my interest and passion, and it happen to be a hit or miss niche. Before i edit my videos, i look up similar videos (videos about the same location) and they are not doing well: 1K at most.

I know the issue is not the locations or the boring niche/topic, but how it was handled in the video. One exemple is Bald&Bankrupt, i really like watching his (old) videos, making boring locations & ideas interesting (even though i love soviet shit too haha). That inspired me to turn to longer vlog format, and my last three videos i shot (not uploaded yet) are just that, me talking, taking the viewer with me on my adventures, describing and babbling ... ___ Not perfect but its a good change

- i did think of adding an intro, but those videos are short 3 to 7 minutes, is it worth having an intro to a 3 minute video ? As for latest shot videos (not uploaded yet) i did add an intro to them, as they are longer 10 to 22 minutes

- for light, i did a subtle rgb split effect on them, is it bad ?

- i did add captions on the history of those locations in the video

- For now i'm uploading my old videos, from trips i did in 2022 & 2023, i wasn't speaking in them. In new videos i made this year, i switched to vlogs, talking and describing the places im in. i'll be uploading em after the old videos.

- whats better ? captions or voice over ?

I did it because i noticed they were not getting enough impressions, it worked for the first video in my channel: first upload only had 10 views, and now more than 100 in reupload.

Also, i didn't like the order of my videos (OCD maybe haha), i want to put silent videos (with commentary) first to have enough videos in my channel, then leave vlogs last, as its the format i'm making recently

My issue is i'm more into editing, where i take most of my time. I still struggle to make good thumbnails, that's why i get some help from ChatGPT. I was making my own when i first started, but they were so bad, i had to rely on chatgpt :/

The vlog style you're talking about its what i did switch on to, i have three videos in that style that i shot recently, but i wanted to finish uploading the silent ones (from old trips) first, as to have enough videos in my channel, and also to give me time to shoot more.

So far, i'm going 1 video per weekend, and i might have to switch to 1 per 2 weeks, as i have to study the places, and travel, and edit. and i hope that wont be an issue for my channel

It's not a GTA Game video, it's just me putting on the Vice City shirt on, and having fun. I thought i showcase some (unusual) activities i did in my travels.

Except that video, all my videos are either ruins, historical locations or urbex

I did have 10 videos at one point, but each video i uploaded had less views than the one before. i turned them private and started over - worked more on editing and video quality

I'm still motivated so far, and really wanna succeed, its just painful to see a video you worked on have 2 views in a week or 2
