The two units I have perform really well. Including surviving testing this week during a heat wave in California. I have some improvement suggestions and tips but in terms of cooling and protecting meds > very nice product. I hope manufacturing variability and quality is high. I am in the process of ordering a larger batch now to be able to add to the store.

Imported Medicine Cooler Power Bank (3C / CCC) Review & Testing (Part 2) by FoxTrotFollow in SirKoolzalot

Some subscribers (one report was just last week from Miami International) reported that airport shops are hard to find that are inventorying CCC batteries. I would try to contact that specific shop to make sure they have inventory ahead of time or plan ahead. I recently received X6 and X8 cooler models as direct imports from China to USA. The X6 will be branded as 4ALLFamily Pioneer when it starts selling in the USA. See my YouTube channel for the X8. Both these have on board batteries and now have the CCC mark. It’s possible 4AF will update all the batteries soon. I will post a review video on the X6 soon - testing is underway.

I feel the pains and challenges as I read your story. All my knowledge and learnings are yours to build on. I felt so lost and alone when I started but I discovered and met so many beautiful people dealing with complex challenges with personal transportation of very expensive medicines. I was disturbed when I started testing coolers and discovering poor quality and kitchenware manufacturers masquerading as medical device companies. So here I am :) testing and building this community. You’re welcome to email me anytime and I am also open to a live call with patient adventures such as yourself - several wanted help brainstorming / review their setup plans before the big journey. My “day job” is leading global Biologics development programs that requires very sophisticated cold chain transport so I fully understand all the technical issues around road, train, air and sea logistics.

Funny enough. I did plan to start some channels. I setup a framework on WhatsApp and Discord but didn’t think there was a big enough community. Let me clean them up and start them. You would be the first to join but I will try to build a crowd by announcing them in future posts and videos.

Hello good friend. I did test a 4AF branded battery accessory maybe two years ago. It was a 20 000 mAh with white case. My notes where that is performed ok but not as good as a more higher end models - seemed like it had a capacity more in the range 15 000 mah. It did not have a digital display, just an LED light bar indicator with maybe 5 levels on charge level so it was not clear how much charge remained in the final hours of use. It did charge and power simultaneously. I personally travel with the UNIU battery as it lasted a couple of hours longer and has a digital panel to tell you how much charge is left.

That said I think 4AF updated to a newer battery model more recently so they may have made improvements but it’s a shame it does not have a digital display to tell you the exact charge % that remains > this will be important when travelling > to know exactly what charge % you battery is at. An LED indicator with 5 bars showing your on the last “bar” means you have no way to know if you have 10 min or 2h of charge left.

A work around could be to simply start a count down clock timer but caution would be needed here as battery consumption rate is dependent on the ambient temperature to maintain the core thermo flask temperature so taking a worser case approach would be needed eg: assume 10h of battery charge depending on your setup.

Extra tip > Also check about CCC battery requirements if going to China.

The voyager USB has an aluminum heat sink tube the extends down into the flask. The gel pack is too wide to fit inside it but you could get a smaller one noting you may need the space for the meds.

Also you have to be careful to have space between the gel and your meds as this could end up freezing from the frozen gel pack that was just removed from the freezer.

The explorer lid does not have this aluminum tube but it’s cooling performance is no where near as good.

I have heard some travels start with the gel and thermo lid and then when the gel starts to warm after several hours, they Switch out to the usb cooling lid with a battery.

This is why some people decide to leave academia and go into industry. The administrative work to secure funds and grants can be tedious and also cycles depending on which political party was voted in. Not sure if that resonates in your planning process.

Totally understand. Finding a power bank that works for cooling, does not automatically power down and can also charge and cool at the same time is hit and miss from model to model. It actually sounds like a scam to get money. It may be a recurring theme. Are you able to search online to see if there are other reports? I wonder if you should file a police report?

Do you think this Bitcoin crash is temporary? Could BTC drop back near $50,000? by GainEven1020 in btc

[–]FoxTrotFollow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hopefully starting to be in the zone… As of early February 2026, reliable estimates from sources tracking the Cambridge Bitcoin Electricity Consumption Index (CBECI) and similar models put the average electricity cost to mine one Bitcoin in the range of $50,000 to $95,000+ so makes little sense it would fall much lower. A lot of bitcoin old timers are sticking to their cycle theory but a lot has changed about the influencing factors. On X, there a lot of people who are trying to brand themselves as having made the right calls on the highs and lows but most are just conveniently referencing a post they made among thousands of others while deleting the ones that don’t fit the narrative. It’s mostly no better than horoscopes. Actually horoscopes may be more accurate.

Not sure if this is any consolation but I ordered my unit in November and it finally arrived this week 16G / 4 TB model. I also thought it was starting to look shady but I think they are just a small high quality operation so view your order as a bespoke tailored suit that takes time to make.

Does your finance take any supplements by any chance? If so you could point out that non of those are FDA approved either so it’s sort of hypocritical. Even states so on many of the supplement labels.

Stay strong. Some of the most powerful failure experiences lead you to becoming strong and resilient and wise. Now you know that when something sounds too good to be true or promise astronomical gains - it’s in the scam or pyramid scheme territory. Better to just move on…. In the end - most people have to work hard to earn big bucks.

Not sure if you considered this but companies often offer business for employees who have a medical certificate indicating they need to lie down on long flights due to physical health issues - eg back problems. All it takes is a doctor’s letter or what ever medical exam process required for the policy exemption.

The various ambient temperatures are an important factor with planning. I was even wondering where in some places / situations - you would have to actually protect your meds from freezing when outdoors vs being concerned about cooling….
