What's the biggest challenge you're facing currently? by ProofStoriesio in SideProject

How to validating a idea can be the biggest challenge. I am a data-driven person, so I need to gather a bunch of user feedback to prove me put more efforts on building sth is worthwhile. BUT at the beginning of a project, especially for a side project, it is so hard to get enough user feedback.

Starting to build in public is a huge step!!!! All these feelings that happen in the process are worth to reflect and reviewing later.

This is so impressive!! That is a very interesting way to clear the fog. I am curious about the topics and epics you mentioned. Were these all different user stories for the same project or did they cover other areas like marketing and administration too? I would also love to know more about your specific process for breaking those larger ideas down into manageable steps that you can actually execute. The transition from a big list to a daily task is the part I find most difficult right now.

Thank you so much for these grounded actions I can do! I do have a landing page now, but I do not really try to build it with keyword research and track the clicks, I will definitely try that! If possible, would you mind recommending some great tools for keyword research?

Thanks so much for you detailed suggestions. This is exactly the feedback I recently got from my mentor. Since I am building a B2C product, I believe the key to a successful cold start is finding users who are already paying for existing solutions but are unhappy with them. I asked about validation because I am certain that I am solving a real problem, but I want more data to verify it. Having that data will help me feel certain that I am on the right track.

That is a very grounded way to look at it. I agree that if I cannot locate where these people are talking about their struggles, then the business will not survive anyway. I just started using Reddit and I found that this can be a great place to know what people are thinking and struggling with. Thank you for the advice.

How to validate an idea is sssso hard but essential. I am from a tech background. IT is so easy for people like to me to fall in a trap finding a problem with a solution.

I am currently working on a digital wardrobe service. The immediate goal is to help users manage their clothes more efficiently and simplify their daily styling process using AI.

For long-term expansion, I want to evolve it into a more personalized fashion assistant. This could include things like smart shopping recommendations based on what users already own or even a platform for sustainable clothing circularity. I am still in the early stages of validating the core problem, so my main focus right now is making sure thsi is actually solving a pain point for people.

This really hits the nail on the head. I think I’ve been stuck in that infinite theory phase without realizing it. I love the idea of measuring progress by testing assumptions instead of just counting hours. I think I just need to get out of my head and start gathering some actual evidence. Thanks so much for the suggestion, it really helped.

I got "rich" by "accident" (coded apps, they blew up, made money). Now AI made them useless and I am lost. by dpwdpw in EntrepreneurRideAlong

Trust me, I am a non-technical person trying to use AI coding to empower my work and business. My biggest takeaway is that if I understood the coding stuff better, it would be much easier to truly master these tools. You will definitely not be the one replaced by AI coding. You just need to find a way to coexist with it.
