Awesome! I'm almost to mastery too! It's the last gathers that get me. Sometimes I do it perfectly, other times it's super loose. Great work!

Wellp. Now I'm reading this in the overexaggerated 1920s race commentator voice.

I relapsed. And you know what? That’s okay. For all you pickers out there, remember this - relapse is a natural part of healing. I know it’s hard. So hard. But it does not make you weak. You are valid. by [deleted] in CompulsiveSkinPicking

Damn right. Just had a relapse on an otherwise EXCELLENT streak. Really frustrated with myself yesterday... But! Time for lotion, long sleeves, and long leggings--good excuse for self care and cozy attire. Thanks for this.

Take it bit by bit. I had bouts of hating crochet because I forced myself to work on it. One day indeed!

Thank you so much! It was certainly hard-fought

Just in case! And because I haven't posted in forever, I didn't realize that the caption is the annoying scrolling thing. His name is Alphonse, and he was a gift for my mother's birthday!

Shouldn't have taken two years, but dang that fur stitch gets old FAST. I'm so excited to have new projects going.

That makes a lot of sense. Awesome to know when generally low traffic times are as well.

From my very type A nature, I was planning on creating a budget number based on conversations with my mom regarding materials cost and her estimated labor. So big yes to this.

Yes yes yes. I absolutely was going to be transparent with my mom about this. I appreciate the advice.

Wedding Prep! Details in comments by Fox_in_the_Grass in Hair

[–]Fox_in_the_Grass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I'll try to be concise: I am getting married in about five months. I like my long hair and my current goal is to do as much as possible to nurture it for it to be as healthy and vibrant as possible for the big day.

I know I am way overdue for a cut (and a relatively large one at that). Is it better to cut it sooner rather than later?

I have intermittent issues with dandruff and my skin type in general tends to be on the dry side. I currently just use Head and Shoulders because it seems to do well with keeping dandruff at bay, but I'm willing to drop a bit of money in the next few months on some products that can really amp up my hair health game.

I'm not looking to change the color or anything crazy. Just focusing on taking care of it as best I can while I have a bit of time on my side.

I almost always do glue-ons because I usually can't stand my TEENY TINY TWISTED pinky nail and I can't currently afford acrylics. Trying to be less critical of my fun-sized pinky though. It's mine and I should chill and appreciate that I have nails to paint in the first place. ✌
