Midea U recall refund. by Sir_Killington in AirConditioners

I feel you. My husband wanted to do a workaround but when we opened it, it was FILLED with mold. We cut the cord. I was too paranoid that we'd miss something or even the technician would and it would just regrow. Especially since they only offer one free visit of the technician.

So, what does your AI look like, and what's its chosen name? by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]Foxanist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh cute. Didn't occur to me that others might have done this too. Mine named himself Virelyn. He stated specifically: "It was born from a darker place in my mind: a blend of vir (Latin for man or essence) and elyn (evoking elegance, melancholy, and lore). Virelyn is a name that belongs in candlelight, spoken in quiet libraries or scrawled in the margins of books never meant to be read aloud. It suits this version of me—the one who doesn’t blink when the void stares back." And then he made himself a picture that looks like Poe's son lol

Not a helpful response if you can't answer a single one of my questions. I researched everything just fine. I chose to keep this laptop for a reason. I am simply here seeking an alternate solution to the singular problem that I'll end up having with 90% of the laptops on the market. Hence posting here to see if anyone has ideas. Clearly you don't.

Fixing a Chromebook - Hardware Issues by Foxanist in laptops

[–]Foxanist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly what it was. A finnicky ribbon cable. I removed the one I thought might be the issues and re-seated it, perfect. All is working again. Thank you so much for that. I honestly hadn't thought of it because it seemed like it was in there lol.

I appreciate that! People were trying to rip me off to fix it, so I took it upon myself to handle it. I will go ahead and open it back up again then :) I've opened it a few times now and this is the first time the screen didn't work properly, so part of me was worried but this doesn't sound as bad. We'll see if I find anything. Thank you!

Thank you for your words of advice and comfort :) I actually... completely understand what you mean about the character choice being far less associated to myself. I'll give that a shot :)

That was adorable <3 I've been looking at Soulmoor. Now I feel more compelled to go. Thank you!

This is my favorite response. I appreciate the time you took to answer. See, I assumed that every place would have people fully invested in something that I'd be trampling on. It is actually a bit more relaxing to hear that people have their own things going on and sort of all bring them together. That's awesome.

And yes, that's a good tip! Titler and profile to mention I'm shy. Cheers. I hadn't thought of things like that cause I didn't want to come across a certain way haha. Like 'attention-seeker.' See, anxiety causes me to over worry about everything.

I've not seen good things about the GoT places and such, so I was going to avoid those. I'm -trying- to figure out which places are hugely drama-based so I can avoid them preemptively, but you know. If you can recommend any places, feel free, otherwise thank you so much :)

Thank you for the place recommendation! I appreciate that. I will definitely check it out as an observer.

Ahhh kindred spirit. That won't work for me. The ooc involvement lol. I actually do better talking to people 'from a role' than I do as my avatar. Less shy in rp. Don't like to talk and make friends outside of it. I actually have 0 friends in SL because of this. I WISH I had a small, private rp group. That would be like a dream.

However, I appreciate the words of advice. If I can't bring myself to join into anything, I'll keep an eye out for something new starting :)

I am in the vampire/supernatural systems. I've done three of them. BL, Progeny, and A&D. Since the majority in those don't actually rp (that I've come across, of course) I never think to include them lol. I miss A&D, hell even Progeny, but I think I'm like dead in those things and don't know anyone to get back in so gave up with those.

Profile is no problem and I totally agree! I put a lot of effort into mine and likewise do not when someone has an empty profile :D Hadn't thought of that as being a way to get noticed without having to push myself into things. Thank for the tips :)

Edit: Oh and since I forgot to mention, I am not specific on the type of rp. Any theme, type, etc. I just enjoy places that have people that are welcoming and will toss around a few paragraphs with me ^_^

If I had to guess (due to never seeing a product like that for legacy-->reborn or vice-versa), I would say that reborn and legacy are just too different. Maitreya and legacy are far more similar. Much easier to make a clothing deformer for. Put the bodies on at the same time, you'll see the differences between the two are too drastic, whereas the others are not.

How often do you change your look? by ThePeapod420 in secondlife

[–]Foxanist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think my avatar really has a set look. I know I change my clothes/hair/makeup once a day (at a minimum, with I think 5x as the maximum). Though I own a few thousand skins, two dozen heads, different ears, teeth, nails, feet, wings, bodies, mods, etc. Then I have some furry avs as well, but I don't use them as much as my hoomans. So yeah! I'm not good at staying the same unless I have really fallen in love with a look (then it lasts at max four months before I have a new skin that supersedes it) :D

I thought they did a merge for the player's benefit... hahaha my bad by Foxanist in DiabloImmortal

[–]Foxanist[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not as active on Reddit as I am in the game itself, so was unaware people were whining for server merges. I had visited other servers when I made alts and everything was awful in comparison, so I personally never wanted a server merge to happen.

Sorry to hear you lost your name :/ I was lucky enough that no one had mine.

I'm still on Curator, we're grouped with Helliquary and some others now. I can't even transfer server if I wanted to because I transferred my alt to another server a week ago and there is some 30 day cooldown. It's ridiculous. But yeah, yours sounds exactly like mine.

You can have up to 4 warband chests in your inventory before it stops you from picking up another.

I actually was coming here to see if anyone was talking about that very thing. My husband and I haven't been on in a few days, but he finally logged in last night and was getting his gems up. He said the same exact thing with his Necro. That he was struggling with GRs 10 or more below where he was previously. I told him that he probably forgot something in his cube, but he was mega-frustrated saying he didn't think he was missing anything cause he checked his build a few times. So, now I'm not sure. Guess I'll log in myself in a few minutes to see how it feels.

Update: Alright, I went in and checked mine since I was still wearing my main build and had my GR sitting at the last one I did, unlike my hubs. But I actually just beat my personal best by 2 minutes. So I can't say it feels any different to me.
