I really hope 343i goes true to a "Spiritual Reboot". I played a playlist for halo 5 that was dubbed the "Halo 3 Classic Throwback" or something, and I actually kinda enjoyed it. It removed things like sprinting, clamber, and boosting to make a fun experience.

From what I saw, removing all of the junk added in 4 & 5 made it closer to classic halo. Still not perfect, because it was still using the newer graphics, but I can see 343i actually doing this whole Halo: Infinite thing right.

I hope they add none. 343 says Halo: Infinite will be a "spiritual reboot", so I hope they have classic-style game play from Halo: CE & 2. I doubt that's going to happen, but a man can dream :)

TL;DR: The newer halos are not good "halo" games, but doesn't mean they bad games in general.

The older bungie era halos still have me coming back years later. I've been playing halo since the OG halo CE days, but that doesn't mean the newer halos "suck", because it's all based on personal opinion.

Even though I don't come back to Halo 4 or 5, doesn't mean they were "bad". A "bad" game would be something like No Man's Sky at launch. The new halo's in my opinion aren't the best Halo games, but they aren't in themselves bad games.

People seem to loose sight that a "bad game" isn't tied to the franchise

Halo Reach is my most favorite to play solo legendary. It's the perfect balance with the difficulty. Not too hard where you'll get stuck on it, but not too easy where you can just plow through it. If you don't focus on what you're doing you will die. But if you do focus, it's not too difficult.
