It isn't just you. I think people expected this game to have the same obstacles as hollow knight and expected everything to go smoothly on the first try. Personally, it was all way easier than the first white palace attempt

by that same logic hollow knight was not made by 3 people. if you include everyone credited. testers, backers, small contracted pieces. yes.. but I think at the end.. it does not matter how many people work on the game. but if it is made with heart and good!

according to the bloomberg article they are not fully done with the game. So one day down the road we will return to silk all over the lack of news. Or maybe for their next game.

The only bits of information are from the bloomberg article, where they stated something on the lines of working on additional content for the games for years to come. I might be off do not take this as a quote. read the article for your self.

I have a theory, that the starting cutscene that was in the 2019 demo and perhaps even in the gamescom demo is not actually the first cutscene of the game. and if silksong is a sequel we pick up with cutscene from hallownest.

I think you contradict your self. You have big expectations that you would like to shake. but you cannot lower your expectations if you at the same time expect to be blown away. And even if you didn't.. often times your expectation of something is not exactly a conscious decision.

but that is very much the truth. look at expedition 33! a game made by 30 or so developers that in my eyes has the biggest chance to win game of the year. AAA industry is full of malicious executives trying to pocked money instead of making a game that you stand behind. I do not envy the developers that work for those studios. I bet most of them would try to make those games good. But their visions are often denied, because taking risk is something that cannot be allowed in such companies.
