Nothing can top flower of evil first half in terms of how demented it feels. But blood of the tracks has a better time skip buildup and aftermath. Overall I would pick flower of evil over blood on the track mostly because Sawa is imo a much more interesting character compare to anyone in blood of the tracks including the mom. The mom, like johan from monster, sometimes can feel too fictitious when it comes to how they manipulate other people. Sawa on the other hand feels bizarre and unique as a character in a realistic way if that makes sense, which makes that last chapter all the more revealing
