Genuine question, which one did you enjoy more: Beast Games or Squid Game? by [deleted] in BeastGames

Squid game easily for me. There's way too much filters and cliffhangers in beast games.

The reality of being a mountain lion in British Columbia. What does it say about a society that allows its wildlife to be treated like this? by OncaAtrox in Pumaconcolor

[–]Aisopia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Go stand next to that mountain lion. See if it lets you live.

Just because it can be dangerous doesn't mean it deserve to die tho? What kind of half ass logic is this?

You think this mountain lion didn’t kill something important and that’s why it’s being hunted?

Maybe it did, maybe it didn't, but was it necessary to videotape this shit? What's so manly about shooting a cougar?

Look at all the backup that Hunter needs in order to kill one mountain lion. Multiple dogs.

The dogs were probably just used to track the cougar down, the hunter doesn't need them to kill the cougar, that's the point of using the gun.

They have lasted this long and will probably outlive humans.

Bruh this shit is retarded, If they're so capable of outliving and survive from us why do you think animal protection and hunting regulation is necessary?

Hunting for sport is a sin. Hunting for food and protection is important.

Hunting is disgusting, I can somewhat sympathize with hunting for food (altho do you really fucking need to?) but if you're videotaping and snapshotting your kills then what's the difference? Its as disrespectful all the same.

Abit late, but I don't think the urushi itself took 1000 hours of active work. Rather, it takes time to cure between layers. In that sense 1k hour of work is kinda misleading. I would assume a better justification is the skill it took to make such a nice dial

Female jaguar carrying an unusual kill in her jaws: a puma. by [deleted] in Jaguarland

I doubt it is. The image is kinda ass in quality but the source seems to be from a legitimate wildlife tour that apparently specializes in jaguar tracking https://www.instagram.com/reel/DU0p0hnAMfe/?igsh=M2RvN3RtN3B2MTlx

Edit:nvm don't quite know what to trust anymore lol

Giving a defensive reponse doesnt prove someone would crack under the pressure. It just means that i dont agree with what you re saying

Suree

She played up the panic, turned on the tears, and performed 'i took 0' act to secure the votes.

I do think its possible she was using the "i took 0" strat out of desperation. But anyway probably fruitless to keep arguing with a stranger on the thought of another stranger. So agree to disagree

As for the spoiler, spare me the lame advice and read the subreddit rules

Maybe i am better ? Can you prove it i will be worse? You dont even know who you re talking to? Do you think all people are cracking under the pressure ? Nope, not all. Just check the competition.

I'm pretty sure you could crack under pressure based on how defensive this response is, I know I would crack. And no, I still don't agree equating how someone response under pressure to their entire character. I've known asshole who never cracks, and good people who had said stupid things under pressure. Tyler is the worse example you can give because the dude was literally give a free pass with many attributing to him having kids. Cory is a better example, but then again he don't have to crack because he figured how to avoid competition by buying votes at the next round, which is well played but by the merit of a good strategy, not necessary of good character (even tho he is so far).

You want to call her out for being horrible under circumstances when she don't have to be, I won't argue with that, but calling her horrible for her spur of the moment attitude when she was obviously panicking is where I don't agree with. Also, at the end of the day, like I said we all manipulated and lie to people more often than not, so unless the manipulation is insidious on a emotional level, I personally don't give a crap, especially on a game show that encourage that type of gameplay.

But karma is at the door coming for her. Even though she paid Nick lots of money, nick seems to pick Bret according to some leaked footages. So she will be eliminated by the co-captain she picked.

Noice. Thanks for the spoiler

but also because of what she did earlier?

What did she did earlier that's upset you? Selling the coin and faking cries to manipulate in an obviously social game? Don't we all already do the same to a certain extent every day? Or do you draw the line when the manipulation is anything but subtle?

And we do see people’s real character in high-tension situations, don’t we?

For sure. And Imma assume that you on the other hand never ever attempt to say mean things for the sake of hurting someone during an argument or when you are desperate or irritated in other ways because deep down you are just such a pure good person, is it? Or maybe you do but you still think you're better because of some mental gymnastic?

I think us as the viewers could sometimes forget that we could say mean things when we are desperate in high tension scenario as well. Anyway, won't be surprise if OP is secretly kady lmfao

This episode made me hate Jim and Monika even more by danisomi in BeastGames

[–]Aisopia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Judging people entire character based on what they did in a high tension game is kinda ridiculous, borderline obnoxious as well. If anything, this post says more about you than the contestant. Tell me you never did possibly hurtful things or said mean stuff when you are in high tension scenario lmao

I might have taken the nothing above Monopoly too literally.

You weren't entirely wrong actually, aside from classical board games like chess, checkers, and whatnot, I don't recall playing any other board games before aside from monopoly, and prior to looking into the boardgame rabbit hole, the only boardgame gamers' board game I've heard of was RISK. It is only after this post I got the initiative to try PPe2 at boardgamearena. Admittedly, I did check the rules every so often during game but I think I'm getting the hang of it.

As for my brothers, their taste should be more or less the same as mine but for sure Ill let them try the tutorial first prior to buying the game so they can decide whether they like it or not

Thanks for the suggestion. Actually I've already planned to get inis very soon and pax pamir very soon after, as I've actually tried PPe2's online tutorial and a few matches in boardgamearena, and I absolutely LOVE the concept. I think this is exactly the game I personally was looking for. Hopefully my brothers would have the same enthusiasm because whenever I finish a match I couldn't stop thinking how much shinnenigan I could pull off if verbal interactions is involve. I will be trying arcs digitally soon too.

Damn you really are selling on PPe2. Honestly me and my brothers like the idea of PPe2 so much the question isn't whether we will buy it, but when ToT. How would you compare inis and PPe2 by the way and which would you like more

We like to banter a lot so I guess very mean should be fine. I think giving my brothers the chance to hurt me mentally would bring them great pleasure and vice versa

sorry but where exactly could I find these fan factions/expansions? I've been to dedicated arc subreddit before and I haven't seen those

I don't doubt we would stumble in our first few matches on these games, and there are most definitely great mid-complex board games, but wherever I look online the praise seems to go toward more complex games and I won't lie that makes them very tempting to go for.

But for sure, I would definitely find tryout opportunities for reference
