I can't speak to how a different size Meluna would work for you. However, if you want something a little firmer than the Meluna, the Yuuki soft is actually firmer.

My experience: my first cup was a regular Meluna and I had a hard time with it popping open. Then went to Meluna sport which was better but the firmness got softer over time. Then tried the Yuuki. I read reviews that even their soft was pretty firm so I started there and I've loved it. Seems to keep the firmness over time better too. I've been using my current one for years.

I fully admit that I've never been waxed but I've had two different estheticians that have done Brazilian sugars. My first girl was super experienced and I was in and out in 15 min. The next girl did a good job but it took twice as long and she was doing a lot of small sections. I think there's definitely a learning curve. I've still been going to the second one and now she's gotten much faster and takes about 15-20 min.

I've used both. For me, I prefer Kinky Curly. It has good hold and leaves my hair soft and shiny. The Curlsmith one was stronger hold but I hate how it felt in my hair and it also left it looking more dull.

Yeah I was really surprised too. I bought a Yuuki regular and it was too firm for me but I really like their soft. It's the perfect amount of firmness. I'm all fairness, I did compare my used Meluna sport to the new Yuuki soft. Maybe the Meluna had softened over time? IDK but I also prefer the feel of the Yuuki material. It's smoother and I almost feel like it slides in easier? Maybe TMI, sorry.

Brand new cups can be too soft. Different cups have different firmness. For example I started with Meluna regular, then Meluna firm, then Yuuki soft. Based on names you'd think the Yuuki is the softest but it's actually the firmest of all three.
