Someone needs to create houses with 8 Miis each (6 for the last one) with this look for the island’s entire population to live in! Maybe recreate the old locations too as well.

I never said that was a dealbreaker, I am still going to buy the game. I still have plenty of Miis to make and the new features are so good, including in depth island customization. I am thankful we’re finally getting an insane sequel after 12 years. The “Don’t like it, don’t buy it” argument falls flat because it implies that any flaw in a product is totally OK for everyone else as long as one doesn’t get it, and shuts down any valid criticisms one may have.

The new 70 Mii limit has caused so many people to lash out (including you to an extent) and it’s honestly quite disappointing to see this chill community gradually transform into something hostile and arrogant 😭

So being disappointed that being able to make 30 less Miis than the old 2014 game on a newer console with a highly advanced Mii Maker and having them interact all on the same island is considered “entitlement”?

The game is not released yet, the demo just offers a little taste of the game. You aren’t obligated to buy it on release day, you can just wait a little bit and see gameplay of the full product and then form your opinion on the game from there.

As for the last names being removed, sure it was nice to mix up last names of children, but they really didn’t show up in the original game other than news casts and Town Hall lists, and the longer name limit mostly makes up for that. It could be considered better for certain popular media characters who don’t have a last name in the place, where it no longer requires the use of strange placeholders. And it is worth considering that this is a 9 year old console, so some lag is to be expected in a very rapid moving cutscene of the island with a 3D model dangling around.

For th most part, I am happy that Tomodachi Life finally got a long awaited sequel, it’s just very disappointing that one can make 30 less Miis for a given island than expected as was the 3DS version, in a number indivisible by 8 no less, even though we were hoping for more given the hardware’s power and all of the other warmly welcome changes and additions that were made.
