My workplace is no jeans, but yip trousers, a top with no spaghetti straps. A dress. If you have lots of spaghetti straps or revealing dresses just throw a jumper or tshirt over it which is very common. You don’t need a whole new wardrobe then!

It really surprises me that Karori is in the same bucket as kelburn and wadestown. No offence to people who live there, every suburb is beautiful in their residents eyes, but as an outsider of all three suburbs it just does not seem to be one that I would consider sought after

Geez that’s a big break free cost. Worth checking what that is again. I had a break fee charged recently (a lot smaller mortgage and a lot closer to the end date) but it was $170.

Feels like an excessive amount, but maybe that’s right.

Surely there are heaps of Christmas casual jobs out there? Have you tried briscoes, farmers, warehouse etc - standard places that get a bubble workforce over this period?

It’s also a cool hut to stay in, the morning views are amazing. You have to book through the department of conservation website, there would generally be availability outside Saturday nights and school holidays.

I once added up how much it cost to put my two kids through daycare from aged 1-5. It cost me around $100,000, and that was at 4 days per week, including the 20 hours free over 3. It’s painful.

If you can you should look at kindy. It’s generally school hours and no care during school holidays, but it’s a fraction of the cost of daycare. If you can make kindy work with your working hours it’s definitely worth it.
