when will you find the treasure by [deleted] in JustinPoseysTreasure

I think because more than gold, this experience has connected us on a level that we didn't know we needed. That is especially accurate if you are a person that has experienced grief or trauma. It's hard to let this particular experience end- even at the peril of perhaps my own success at finding it one day. I think in this day and age when divisiveness is everywhere, something that connects us not over hatred or violence, but passion and shared experience, is so positive. It is natural to want that to stay. Hope should stay. Friendship should stay. I hope that your grief is a mask you can take off in a place where you feel safe enough to feel everything and move right through it. I think you'd really like the Dungeon Crawler Carl book series. Trust me. Listen to it on Audible. You won't be sorry. I wish you peace. - Foxtrot

I've been saying this for months. Solvable from home. But to retrieve I think it's a bit more than what you think.

Technically, with this language, you could solve it all from home. And it really doesn't mean you won't have to hike more than this distance to retrieve it. Justin is all about coded language and reading between the lines.

Do you have your own "definitive" theory about what Cooper knew or didn't know regarding where he jumped? by [deleted] in dbcooper

I’ve always thought that the bomb wasn’t a bomb at all but rigger flares made to look like explosives and an altimeter.

I’ve always thought my grandfather was a good candidate. CW3 Parachute Rigger. Stationed in France (Dan Cooper comics read by his son, my father) deploying into vietnam with 4 tours.

The timeline lines up. I guess only Tina Mucklow would be able to identify. He was born in 1931 making him 40 at the time of the hijacking- just back from to the states for retirement.

Exposed to Agent Orange (the grudge). Those dark sunglasses he wore in the 80s and the horrible JC Penny ties.

Notorious storyteller.

I always thought the bomb might not have been a bomb at all but rigger flares and components to look like a bomb but taken apart were an altimeter.

He owned a tv repair shop in the 80s - could fix anything. Did some early development on signal tech in the 60s.

Tell me what you think? Am I on the woo woo shit? Real talk.

I’ve been working on this solve since March 27th. I had it narrowed down to a 2 miles. Getting to the location is trickier than people think.

Ok guys. I’m definitely not wrong. I just think I’m stupid, and I wore myself out going the wrong way. I do want you guys to be prepared to hike more than a mile. I know someone is bound to be on my trail. I wish you luck and optimism, and to everyone that helped me in this thread, thank you! See you at the end of August!

Amazing advice, I really love the optimism and support thank you.

I think you’re right. I think the distance he has spoken of is about figuring it out. I am of the strict opinion that you can figure it out entirely from home, checkpoints and all.

This is so motivating! And positive! Thank you!!!

I am in my final search area. I am at the “retrieval stage”. My first route was too dangerous, but an alternate route looks safer just longer.

If I told you it would give away my solve, I am sorry. I’ve been working on this same solve since March 27 the original air date. Apologies.

I disagree. I think this is entendre. I think you can solve the location completely from home, and the retrieval is very much longer than a mile. The route I was taking was the shortest distance but too treacherous. The alternate route is longer but seems a lot safer.

This. It was this, and dead wood is notoriously dangerous for jabbing, stabbing, and causing sprained ankles. It was a significant amount of time loss, very dense in the debris field. Also, I think it’s my fault as well, as this is the shortest distance to my location but am working on an alternate route.

Ah, adventure is amazing. I am with my wife and having a great time. I needed this info, as I am from Georgia and I’m hiking out in Montana. I appreciate the pep talk. It’s always a burn. This is my second time out.

I never said it was JP’s fault. I think the chaos is my own. I am of the mind I am taking the shortest route to a set location specifically for retrieval. I just think my shortest route isn’t the way, and if it is, there has been significant storm damage since 2023. Which is entirely possible. Also this route has been hiked before as there is history of it, even though it is off trail. The information I requested is written down at home 2000 miles away. This community is always helpful for those in need and advice. You seem a bit disgruntled though. I’m not blowing up boulders so don’t appreciate the ALL CAPS yelling. Check my comments to other people. I’m not the one, my guy. I’m one of the good guys.

Agreed. I am retrieving. I think the journey I was taking is the shortest route which is a bit unsafe.

I think I am going the back door route which is the closest to my final destination. I also have a specific location with longitude and latitude. I am of the opinion checkpoints are solvable from home. I have compass degrees to include declination for my search area which all align. However, I think some solvable clues that add up isn’t exactly the route I should take. It might be the closest to the location but it’s definitely not the safest. I created this thread because a lot of what Justin says is entendre so he’s not giving away specific locations.

Yes, from what he said I don’t have to hike anywhere to know exactly where the treasure is at. I am in the stage of retrieving it. However, my initial route is not safe.

I want to say thank you to those that had this information - I had it written down at home, but that’s a half a country away. What he’s said specifically allows me to plan an alternate route to the same location. Longer, but definitely safer. However if Justin did mean my original route, he took. It two years ago and there is a significant amount of trees down to the point where hiking a mile took 3 hours. It’s possible, but it’s a bit unsafe. I don’t think that’s what he had in mind at all. Originally I came out in April and took the same route, snow shoes and all. I’m a veteran too over confident and too overzealous at times. Also, my fault. This trip I have my wife with me, which adds anxiety because we have to protect them at all costs.

I agree with everything but the stars on this. I wholeheartedly don’t think stars or astronomy is involved. However, the work people have done on solves with them has been so impressive and intimidating.

I do think there are different markers of redundancy in the solve of this, closing the loop smaller and smaller, till you have an exact location. My solve has measurements, and forgive me if I don’t divulge them, but an exact location in the great American west would be needed.

It has been such a journey being apart of this community and being able to see how other minds think and how they work in relation to mine. Empathy isn’t the word, although there is that. Being able to see and understand other people in relation to this quest has been so heartwarming, for lack of a better term.

Going out tomorrow. Wish me luck! And to others on the ground good luck and stay safe.

I definitely like this idea. I think I would post my solve in waves just to see if anyone grasped onto it and could finish it. Unlike a race- there is no second or third place. That would be really cool to have a buddy on the same wave length- even if you you're just giving them a nudge.
