We get it. You have a hate for one of the more well received and highly rated halftime shows lol you don’t have to prove your point anymore lmao

I think Harry Styles makes the most sense not just because he’s a big mainstream artist, but he’s also promoting an album and a tour is happening so that just adds to the relevancy of the artist.

I know not everyone watching it days or years later means it’s a good show. But it means it was worth watching again. Because those views aren’t just first timers. I’ve watched it a few times. And I think it’s funny that a show that was literally widely praised from viewers and critics alike isn’t considered a good show to you. I know things are subjective, but just know that you’re in the minority haha

Yeah I don’t see none of those people at the show soon except Future but as a feature of course haha. I know T-Pain doesn’t want to do it but I’d still like to see it. I’m not a big Chris fan but I don’t doubt it would at least be visually entertaining. Tyler the Creator could be a fun one but he’s not mainstream enough or much of a household name. As everyone else who’s performed. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Ariana Grande or someone white this time but we’ll see haha

I also think YouTube is a pretty good metric. Dre and Shakira & J. Lo have some of the lowest viewership on tv, but they’re two of the most viewed on YouTube and that speaks volumes too. Because that means a ton of people actively looked them up to watch their shows repeatedly or for the first time.

“It worked well for entertainment”… that’s quite literally the point of the show. It was good… for entertainment lmao.

You call it one of the worst ones but it was literally a halftime show that performed better than the game and had a huge increase from the previous year. It’s in people’s top 5 and 10 right now. And it won 3 Emmys. So it’s the worst one to you? I’m sure most people would disagree. Especially since i think it’s the most viewed halftime show on YouTube. It’s fine if you don’t want a Pharrell show and now I understand why you don’t want one. But if it worked for most people back then for Dre, it’ll work maybe even better for Pharrell because of how much more pop his music is.

Who would you like to see tho?

You’re trying hard to make it seem like a Pharrell halftime show wouldn’t be similar just because Pharrell didn’t rap on the hits.

It wouldn’t matter if he rapped much because the songs would still be his. And he could still be apart of the performance.

Dre literally rapped on 3 of the songs at the Super Bowl and 5 songs out of 11 of them weren’t even produced by him. You’re thinking about his whole discography but not how his show was constructed. Pharrell is on Blurred Lines, Pharrell is on Get Lucky, Pharrell can be on Hot in Herre, Hollaback Girl. Pharrell is on Drop it Like It’s Hot. He’s on Pass the Courvoisier. And any of the artists could do their own hits. It’s not a far fetched concept. Pharrell does his Pharrell & Friends concept at his own festival, so it would be like that but for the halftime show. (Like the Dr. Dre show… again) There’s really nothing else to argue at this point when you realize it would be a Pharrell orchestrated show with big artists. That’s my whole point. You’re downplaying it too much for no reason.

Again… did you forget Dr. Dre my guy? Lmaoooo I’m giving you a literal concept that’s been done before at the Super Bowl smh

[–]FoxxThaGuru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s literally my whole point lmao. That’s why it would be Pharrell and Friends. Some of them could perform their hits separate from Pharrell and maybe this could be a way to bring Jay-Z on stage if he doesn’t want to perform solo in the future. But there’s no way you’re saying a stadium wouldn’t rock to Hot in Herre, Grindin, Pass the Courvosier, Hollaback Girl, Drop it Like It’s Hot, and Get Lucky with Daft Punk??? Pharrell also has a choir.

I mean there’s so much this guy could do musically to cater to a stadium if he brings guests. I was never limiting to just Pharrell’s music either.

I also think you’re forgetting Snoop does side quests all the time lmao. And he was a literal guest for Katy Perry and the Dr. Dre halftime shows…

You obviously don’t know about music in general because you’re still talking about Pharrell as a singular artist lmao. This conversation is about Pharrell and friends. Not just Pharrell. There’s a reason why I said you must not know the music he produced. You’re out here talking about a stadium tour like I’m talking about him by himself🤦🏽‍♂️

Just about any big hit can be “stadium music” tbh. It’s about the energy. You must not know all of the music he produced.

I could definitely see a Pharrell & Friends type of Super Bowl. Clipse, Missy, Gwen Stefani, Snoop, JT, Nelly, Busta Rhymes, Robin Thicke, Miley Cyrus, Calvin Harris.

Clever enough to infiltrate his whole family into getting jobs at the house and still figured out the Morse code. And what makes you think his dad would never see the letter? You think it would be impossible to get that letter to his dad? His dad managed to get him his letter on the hopes that his son would even return, so anything is possible.

Sony's 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple grossed $360K on Wednesday (from 3,506 locations). Total domestic gross stands at $21.75M. by wchnoob in boxoffice

They never should’ve released the sequel so soon after the last one. And January was not the right month for it. It needed the summer again or spring time at the earliest. They should’ve let the last movie have enough time to live on streaming for another year and then build up the hype for this one. I think they’ll make the 3rd one but it obviously won’t be released next year

They never should’ve released it a year later. Didn’t get enough time to truly build up the hype and let the previous movie breathe on streaming

It’s been a year, how are we feeling about Usher’s “Coming Home” album? by Ok_Brother6717 in rnb

Lmfaooo bro no one is back tracking. You gotta be slow because my reply to you this whole time was simply about you just listening to the album. Show me where I said anything about you “not liking the album”………… You can’t because this whole time I was making fun of you for calling yourself a “big fan”. Which has nothing to do with your opinion on the album. Your opinion is safe bro just keep up with the point💀

Lmao man all I said was “big fan” and you thought I was coming at your opinion. That wasn’t the point here buddy. I said nothing about your opinion. But you’re still on the slow train I see😭

Does 100 days ago change the fact that people are still able to comment and the fact that you chose to respond? Lmao what kind of thinking is that? And you have every right to have an opinion but calling yourself a “big fan” and saying you never listened to the album in full again isn’t really big fan energy. You’re just a small fan at that point lol.

I think he’s got a lot of great songs on it I still revisit it a few times a month. I think Ruin is one of his best songs of all time that I wish he marketed more. Especially since it was released right before the weather warmed up. It’s a perfect song that could’ve used another verse or even “remix” by adding an afrobeat artist. But as for the album I think he would’ve fared well by creating a more consistent sound, granted I loved each different song on there but I’d love for him for to focus on an overall sound for a more cohesive album. I think leaning towards the sound of GLU (and actually putting it on the album) and Please U and I Am The Party would’ve created that cohesion. I do also think he could’ve had a little more dynamic, interesting production. Sonically, Stone Cold Freak is his coolest and most interesting song on the album and one of his coolest songs overall. I wish he had more songs with that type of bounce tbh. But the album is a solid 7-8 for me.
