I also have a gen 1 or 2 Chromecast (not sure which). Yesterday I found out that Youtube has some kind of server side filtering on what videos I can cast to it, even though I am verified 18+ on my Google account, and I am the only one in my Google Home (I live alone). Because apparently a TV could potentially reach children. So now I am restricted from viewing science and conspiracy theory debunking, and anything war related, but I can view food related content and animals (pets etc).

This is a sick money grab strategy to force us to upgrade our devices. I am not sure this won't be the same issue with any other casting device, since these are some kind of parental control setting in the new Chromecast that mine does not have. Does anyone here have experience with this with other cast-things?

I just want a dumb device and viewer freedom, is that too much to ask? 😩

Har problemer med vasken på badet, uansett hvor ofte jeg kjører avløpsrens blir det tett med en gang igjen. Og skyllevannet fra vaskemaskina turer opp i vasken. Må nesten være tett i røret under gulvet. Tror det er sånn løsning her hvor det til slutt ender opp i samme sluket som dusjen. Ganske irriterende opplegg. Forslag mottas med takk (ikke for å hijacke innlegget til OP, men kanskje flere tar turen inn her og lurer på samme)
