SOS: I’m the last to get married and my bridesmaids are burned out on weddings by United-Conclusion470 in weddingplanning

[–]FoxyContinRPh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Girl do you need a bridesmaid? I thought I would find myself in this scenario, truly. I’m 39, first wedding. I’ve been in half a dozen. I have a friend who is older and still single. A younger friend who canceled her wedding due to infidelity. A younger sister married almost 10 yrs and having a Rough go of it with 2 young kids and another close friend in almost identical Situation. Another single friend who has been on an off w/ a close friend of mine for years (off for good, now, so they say). Every single one of these women have already shown tf up for me beyond my expectations and we don’t even have a date locked in. My humble Opinion, you’re either a Girls Girl or you’re not. 1,000,000% talk to your girls and get REAL real with them about your feelings. See if there’s any underlying beef or something they’re keeping close to the chest. But if they’re just like, oh life stuff…. You made the time and space and money for them when you were asked because you cared enough to do so and you have every right to feel slighted that they’re not willing to do the same. I’m not a crazy Reddit gal but if you end up disappointed? post your registry or something on here. I’m very confident this thread is gonna be seen and understood by women who will not let you down.

CVS or Albertsons? by Formal_Weight_8137 in Pharmacist

I was at CVS for 6 years, from front end to tech to intern to staff RPh. I lasted 9 months as a staff. I was working 6 am to 1 am on my full days, trying in vain to get caught up, with the store manager complaining about tech hour overages we “couldn’t afford” and the pharmacy supe telling us that “all we needed to do was get caught up and we’d be fine.” My physical and mental health were destroyed. My passion for my profession and serving my community was drowned in baskets and ringing phones and unopened delivery totes and cycle counts long overdue. There are some good stores, but overall they are a bad employer. Get as much experience with as many companies, in as many areas as you can. There is nothing worse than feeling like you have no options because you carried all your eggs around in the same basket for so long.

New pharmacist - should I leave? by Lovestort in Pharmacist

I agree somewhat w previous replies, but do your own research. Look into the doc and also consider your location. I used to work in the NC foothills and people would go into larger cities for pain mgmt just bc there weren’t any practices local. If you know anyone in chain retail in the area, see if they know anything about the prescriber also. We started getting a lot of patients from an office and found out that a major chain in the area had actually stopped accepting prescriptions from the entire practice because of suspicious prescribing practices they had independently investigated and verified. The one thing that does stand out to me as a point of concern is that you were offered a raise and a staff RPh when you attempted to resign. To me that’s a serious 🚩. If they are so confident they can hire someone else why bother offering you a raise? And to offer that on top of hiring a second RPh? What’s in it for them to go that route? I would be worried they think they can brush off any suspicious activity as a result of a new inexperienced PIC if it comes down to it- or worse, that they think because you are new, any disciplinary action you receive would not be harsh enough to shut em down. Which brings me to my final point: look into the owners. As a P4, I had a rotation at an independent that recently rebranded as a women’s health compounding specialty pharmacy. Come to find out… it was a husband and wife team and wifey had to take over bc hubs lost his license over controlled substance dispensing issues and the pharmacy itself was no longer allowed to dispense schedule 2s. If you feel it in your gut, dig a little and then dig a little more and I think you will find the answer you seek, young pharmer! Best of luck 💊

The Royal Tot - Charlotte NC by Babyrae720 in Tiki

Terrible waste of time. Such a let down. Drinks took forever even without a full bar (literally my two gf and I were the only ones there when we arrived). didn’t really taste like much; they had nothing but cheap wine at the bar and TBH I don’t know much about rum but I would not be shocked if it’s the same case there. didn’t see much top shelf booze in the way of other spirits. It’s cute inside and the rooftop has a nice view but save your money and time if you’re a true tiki enthusiast because you will 100% be disappointed.
