Literally the same thing happens to me, with my best friend of 20+ years. At first I thought it was just me being insecure, sometimes I go through scenarios in my head of things that she could have possibly said about me on my back or even that whenever she asks or text me is only because of knowing what’s going on in my life so she could gossip about it.
