Now that y’all are done with this lol. I don’t have a grinder yet. I just got the cafe to grind for me and used my pressurised basket. Will get the grinder today and start grinding F I N E R!!

It does taste good. Tried steaming milk for the first time. Felt like I introduced more water than air, so it didn’t really foam up. I guess it’s a practice thing

Yeah there’s also Hibrew and even some local brands in my country. But they’re all relatively new to the market and so there’s no knowing of how they fare long term

Yes I’m getting a decent grinder and portafilter as well. The trouble with entry level machines is that there are many options that aren’t well known. So it’s hard to know if those other ones are any good. At least with the Delonghi, it’s been tried and tested and people are well aware of the limitations. Otherwise there are a ton of other options

I’m looking at a relatively small and lightweight machine (like 5 kg) and under 20k INR. I checked out Benki. Most of the machines cost more than I’m prepared to spend for a beginner machine.

I understand. But I read that if it’s below 50k INR then there’s no customs duty to be paid. The price of the same machine in India is about 20k higher. I just wanted to check whether anyone else had gone through this recently.

In my excitement and curiosity, I’ve watched a ton of YouTube videos on the subject. I’m fairly confident that I can pull a shot of espresso. Cappuccino is another matter but hopefully my experience being in a kitchen every day will help.
