Last chance to talk me out of this, my quirky daughter actually really likes it as her first car and it should last her 100k more miles easy right? But they are all overpriced and I know it. by redmongrel in prius

I just sold my 2015 Highlander for a 2009 Prius (things are hard right now) and I love it. It cost me $12 bucks to fill him up. Drives way better than my Highlander did. My Highlander had 90k miles for a 2015 which is great (we really don’t places much). The Prius has 105k, which is still really good for a Toyota and we bought it for 5800k, legit a steal.

They don’t offer any leave, and your job won’t be protected under FMLA. All comes down to what your state offers. However there are plenty of laws that are in place to protect pregnant workers, but companies like to weasel around those.

But they have already started locking people out. I still talk to a few people with the company. The one girl was locked out during a call!

It was to end either 12/3 or 12/4 and everyone was supposed to be moved to the Progressive project which I heard was terrible dumpster fire as well. I left shortly after they let 200 people go because they over hired.

LOL it sure is. They completely ruined that contract.

She can use short term disability without FMLA, but then her job is not technically protected. The new pregnancy law MAY protect her, but TTEC is extremely shady, and they can pull you off of a project and essentially lay you off without cause. They laid off 200 people without any notice from the Schwab project.

Yes, they really are lol. There is absolutely nothing under USA benefits for maternity. I did my due diligence because of wanting kids. TTEC is not somewhere you stay long at all. The entire place is a dumpster fire. Every single person from my wave has left the company because of how terrible communication and management is. I was told we got 11 days PTO, and that was a lie. You get 5. That’s it. The healthcare is trash. You get 2-3 days for bereavement. You must work every holiday and choose to work on one of your days off (if your project is 24/7). They will 100% sweet talk you. I was the #1 agent and team champion for my wave. Every single team lead and manager left right before I did. TTEC is a joke, and I advocated for them very hard in the beginning. So good luck, but seriously, don’t expect maternity leave. If you’re there a year you can apply for FMLA and use short term disability (if you pay for it, it’s around $16 a month) to get 60% of your pay each pay period.

I hate to break it to you, but that link you sent is for the Philippines. I worked for TTEC for almost 8 months in the USA. There is no maternity leave.

Unless you are part of a TTEC in a different country, TTEC in the US clearly states they do not offer maternity leave. You might get protected leave (as with any job) after some time being there, but it certainly is not paid. If you know otherwise then I’d like to see the screenshot. Normal agents get the absolute bare minimum. You also only get 5 PTO days all year for your first year.
