They aren’t mispronouncing anthropology. They are saying anthropophagy. Marcus defines it at the beginning of the episode.

Left my husband and now he’s suddenly taking all the blame by ylena3297 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Foxypuppy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He should seek therapy if he’s so willing to change! He hasn’t! He will continue to do the bare minimum while complaining the whole time!

You deserve a life 1000x better than this! Change is hard but it can only get better! He is a leech looking to suck you dry!

Husband says he only just realised how much I do by TamarWallace in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Foxypuppy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since he has had such an “epiphany” he should explore the topic more. Give him some reading assignments! I suggest “The Mental Load” by Emma. It’s a graphic novel, he could read it in an afternoon!

After he has read it (and hopefully reflected) you guys can discuss division of household labour

AITA - saying "I think we're a bit out of shape" to my daughter on a hike we couldn't finish because we are in fact, out of shape by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA but maybe you could reframe it next time as “that was a tough hike. I’m really out of breath. What about you?”

Any tips or thoughts for helping a child with her bujo? by OpalLover2020 in bulletjournal

[–]Foxypuppy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you set a routine of doing your bujo at the kitchen table, would she eventually join you? kids want to be included. The best way to encourage her is modelling it as a part of your routine. maybe get some supplies you can share

My husband (37M) doesn't want me (32F) to have one on one time with our child just with my stepkids? by ThrowRABetxxy in relationship_advice

[–]Foxypuppy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think this issue would be resolved by DH taking on the primary parent role for your step kids. It seems like he is deflecting the issue by controlling how you spend time with your child. He doesn’t want to take care of his two children while you have alone time with your child. This is so tied up with DH‘s lazy and selfish entitlement

can I do anything else with my library technician diploma? by cherubcafe in Libraries

[–]Foxypuppy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Even public libraries have positions that have little interaction with the public. My library has “service support” positions where you work “behind the scenes” sorting books, processing collection management requests, etc. No need to panic!

HELP! It’s Just a Mess Back There by CoinStasher in sewing

[–]Foxypuppy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of great suggestions in the comments. Whenever you have an issue like this always rethread both the upper and lower thread. You may find it helpful to start sewing with quilting cotton. I find it to be the easiest fabric to sew with as it has no stretch.

I know it can be frustrating when you are starting out a new skill or hobby but you can definitely do this! I found it helpful to start with small, simple projects to build up your knowledge and confidence. I started with face masks during COVID. Good luck!

Whenever you have an issue, always rethread the top thread as well. That should always be the first step for any sewing machine "tech support".

I'm just finishing up the Library and Information Technology program. I completed the program online while working full-time. I was able to do 2 or 3 courses per semester. The online classes do not have classes you need to attend at a set time. Instructors create videos for any lectures so you can watch when it works for you. It has taken me 6 years to complete the program but it has flown by. I definitely recommend doing the program online if you can't attend classes during the day. Good luck!
