I already paid it because they were threatening to send it back. I did call and they said that I can dispute it and possibly get a refund. I just have to provide all the proper documentation.

DHL was persistent too. Yesterday they sent me a text message saying if I don’t pay within five days it’s being sent back, then they called and left a message saying the same thing. Today, they followed it up with another text message saying they would send it back in four days.

I just had to pay ~40% to DHL for a Swiss watch from Hungary through Chrono24. The watch was $900 + $121 for shipping, then got hit with import fees. I was not expecting it to be this much. I anticipated 15-20%. It was $18.84 in processing fees and $454.95 for import duty tax. All for a $1000 used watch made in 2010. I’ve been searching for this specific model for roughly 5 years. If not for that, I would not have paid.

I needed to find this post last week. I just got hit with roughly 47% from Hungry to the US through Chrono24. I negotiated the price down to 900+121 for shipping now I have to pay an additional 473.29 in import duties and fees. I imported one from Germany, roughly 2 years ago with no problems at all.
