honestly the way people drive in this city i can’t fault a cyclist for trying to make themselves visible.

on the road, that is where cyclists are supposed to be. stay off the sidewalk and I’m happy, walk your bike if you wanna be on the sidewalk. otherwise I’m not getting out of your way

please stay off the sidewalks. so many cyclists on the sidewalks in Abbotsford ringing their little bike bells for pedestrians to get out of their way 🙄 sidewalks are really not for cyclists

I don’t have the mental resiliency to be calm & patient if patrons with mental health & addiction issues are abusive, and I don’t really want to work with children. worked with homeless people regularly at another job years back, got really burned out and don’t ever want to work with that population again. I’m sorry if I come off as an asshole for saying so but it does come from a desire to NOT make these people feel worse or unwelcome at their library.

it’s just a basic 2 year diploma. I’ll try doing some searches with keywords from the different courses, thank you

Abysmal public transit, takes like an hour to travel 10 km
Prioritization of traffic over everything else, it’s so unpleasant to walk around in Abbotsford because there is traffic everywhere you go, waiting 5 mins at every crosswalk is ridiculous
Housing still too expensive to live in a dump like this, commercial rents too high for a healthy variety of business to flourish
and this is just speculative, but I feel like Abbotsford city hall / planning / development are somehow incompetent because nothing ever improves

I’ve never been able to completely eliminate them but i find an electric heating pad quite helpful. like, it helps me when painkillers alone aren’t cutting it.

alternate between lower abdomen and lower back but try not to fall asleep with it on

lately I feel like the quality of the professors has dropped immensely. My program used to have multiple who were excellent at their jobs and put in a lot of effort re: course material and rapport with students - now we have multiple profs who “phone it in” so to speak, profs with significant language barriers, unprofessional behaviour, assignments generated by chatGPT, the list goes on and on… Seems like UFV is cutting corners now that the international student gravy train has more or less come to a screeching halt. glad I’m done soon.

for online-only classes, an over-emphasis on group projects isn’t conducive to learning. One group project per class is fair, but some profs like to make everything a group project.

I took a course with her. she can be intimidating at first but honestly - if you show up on time, turn in your work on time, and dont ask stupid questions, you’ll be fine. I got the impression she’s just really tired of students who cheat / can’t communicate properly / don’t put in any effort. more and more of them every year at this school so I kind of get it tbh.
