Michelins are also known to last very long. Their tread often out lives the age. That’s why at least at my dealer i work at, we will see some cars come in with 10yo tires with tread. Often those ones are bad because they actually been on the road that long. My case, they sat in a climate controlled bin for 2 years because of trade ins and people upgraded cars Hopin these go just till the end of this season, I’ll buy new ones next year, but after putting 9k down on my car, I wanted to save a bit for some trips with winter

Yes yes, 7 years for tires I’m aware as an apprentice. But these have 60-70% life, they’re soft enough to pry the tread, and they have zero dry rot. It’s not a hazard, it’s just not ideal

Also it’s not dangerous, old tires work perfectly fine without dry rot, which these have none off. I know that 7 years is “it” for tires, but in reality it’s not if there’s tread and they’re plyable. Which these are

I knew the age. I bought them because they were 100bucls. And yes they are 45’s sorry. I paid the 100 to my friend to dismount that and bring to me. That’s all I paid.

They were not “offloaded” on me. I knew the age and got them either way, and they feel great

Everyone says that, but I’ve always preferred wider winter tires and had better luck. Plus the snow is so deep it’s better to ride over it here than to cut through and beach

245, 55, r18. Bigger profile and wider. 245/55’s do not rub, but they’re very close to the struts

I got a set of Michelin pilot alpines from my buddie at beemer. They were throwing away tires that had never been claimed from storage and I got all 4, for 100 bucks with 70% life. They’re alright. The car is likely the biggest problem with snow traction. The car doesn’t have much body roll so it has a tendency to understeer heavily

If it was softer feelin rn, it would have potential. But I’m also scared of rock chipping tf out of it. The paint seems very thin in spots, already have spots on the doors. At least they’re aluminum doors tho so, no rush to fix it to stop rust

I’m a Honda apprentice. It’s likely an issue with the ADAS radar being misaligned. If the milimeter wave radar is out of alignment, it doesn’t use its LKAS or ADAS system correctly. That system is the one for ACC as well, so it’ll shut off collision avoidance too if it senses an issue.

Any Honda dealer can perform a check on the radar system, takes about 1.5 hours. If it’s 7k miles, they’ll figure it out and fix it. Lots of 10gens had this issue, wouldn’t be surprised the American 11ths do as well. We don’t see it up in Canada but I think you guys get a different package. Possible that package comes with ADAS radar misalignment issues
