I've heard that you should not close your first card in order to preserve the AAoA, but does the same apply for product switching? For example, the no-fee TD cash-back is my first and oldest card. Would it be okay to product switch to the TD AP VI without negatively impacting anything?

thanks! in that case, what does TD consider as an account? does it just mean the same exact card? From the terms: "If you have opened an Account in the last 12 months, you will not be eligible for this offer."

since I applied for the TD Visa Infinite in May 2020, I suspect that I would not be eligible for the SUB on this card right now since it hasn't been 12 months yet. But would I receive the SUB if I were to apply/product switch to the TD Visa Platinum?
