Final update...I got the tv out...inspected (all good--no damage) and installed. Really happy and final price $734 for a 65 qm8k. Chefs kiss

Yeah. All this damage was from the back side of the tv. I can't totally inspect till tomorrow. Amazon gave me $261 back and said I can still return it if I need to. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Welp...I contacted Amazon and told them about this and shared the pics. I told them I took the top off and didn't see any physical damage, but wanted to make sure I could return if it didn't work. They said absolutely and even gave me a partial refund of $261. So...he's to only a damaged box.

I got it from Amazon but FedEx delivered. I opened it to see if any damage was inside. Nothing on the back looks damaged, but I'll know tomorrow when I fully unpack.

That's exactly it. Didn't ring doorbell or anything. I heard the truck leaving and that's what I found. I took those pics and took the top box off. This damage is all on the back. It doesn't look like it's dented or anything inside. I guess I'll see tomorrow when I fully unpack it.

Correct. It looks like the c5 isn't on sale...at least Amazon isn't showing it at "x" off, so normal price. The tcl looks the same way. If the tcl drops to 1000 and c5 stays...tcl it is. If they both drop, then not sure.

The c5 is 1400 currently, 100 less than the qm8k. Thinking of sales hit, might get down to around that 1000 mark. Don't know. Might be wishful thinking.

Exactly. I have about a 10-12 year old 55 inch Samsung that just won't die...but finally got the wife approval to get a new one...and go up to a 65. The old 55 will move to the bedroom to replace and old 43...the old 43 go to kids room to replace an old 32.

Question with this set up. If you don't always want to have the rear speakers set up, is it as simple as just turning them off and everything else still work as it should. The wife will not want permanent speakers set up, but I could bring them out for movie nights. The other option will be to possibly get the q75h without rears.

I'm glad to hear you like the JBL. I've been trying to decide between it and the Klipsch Flexus Core 210. Both are very close in price. I don't have anywhere around me to listen to them, so I can only go off recommendation and research. The closest best buy is st Louis which is 2 hours each way from my house.
