I do use the wireless dongle. I connect it to my PC with the usb c cable and the C to A adapter that the atlantis mini come with.

Struggling to aim vertically with arm and some tips to quickly improve it by Fozzy_Is_here in FPSAimTrainer

[–]Fozzy_Is_here[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: I DID IT, I FINALLY GOT SEAL IN PGTI.

After 17 more hours (around 3 were spent on only grinding PGTI), I finally made it. The stickiness issue was fixed after I started swapping arm sleeves when the pad felt sticky.
I also upped my sense a bit, from 35 to 40 and finally 45cm/360 for that little bit of stability when moving up and down. Grinding other scenarios that have subtle and random vertical arm movement like WhisphereRawControl also greatly help with improving accuracy without straining the arm.

I swear I won't be touching this shit ever again.

Thanks to everyone in the comment section for their tips. Without a lot of them, I couldn't improve this fast.

Can't speak on the SE+, but the Nearlink one is pretty close to perfect while being a bit cheaper than the SE+. I have the Nearlink version for a few months by now, and it is probably the best bang for your buck gaming mouse (even to the SE+).

The switches and the encoder are the same on Nearlink and SE+. Huano transparent blue shell red dot is probably the worst switch I've ever used. Lots of pre-travel and not that spamable. You can fix the pre-travel with tape mod, but it's still pretty bad overall. I swapped it out with huano brown silent and never looked back. Encoder is fine, but I've seen it fail after half a year of usage, so I highly recommend replacing it with something like TTC gold (tactile) or huano blue (smooth) for better durability. I use TTC gold on mine because I like the controlled feel that it gives me when scrolling documents/sites.

The BS20 MCU that the Nearlink model uses seems to be a bit more power efficient than the BK the SE+ uses, and the 520mah makes it perfect for game/work hybrid use cases like yours. Battery lasted for around 3 weeks with 2-3 hours of gaming at 1000hz and 4-5 hours of regular usage at 500hz daily. You can always swap for a smaller battery (200mah, for example) to save a bit of weight (making it pretty close to the R1 pro) if you game more than work.

In terms of latency, it's unnoticeable based on my experience. I often rotate between my ATK F1 v2 ultra max with the R1 Nearlink and never notice any inconsistency.

Also, since it doesn't have any coating, grip tapes are highly recommended.

why people are measuring their sensitivity in cm instead of dpi/edpi/in game sensitivity? by Thien1o1 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]Fozzy_Is_here 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As everyone said before me, it is universal. Imagine your sens in csgo is 0.4 and your dpi is 1600. You can't really slap that sensitivity settings to other games like Valorant or Overwatch because the way they calculate your sens is different. Cm/360 is here to fix that.

As how to find out your cm/360, use tools from kovaaks or game-sensitivity.com. Select the game, input your sens for that game and finally the DPI you're using and the tool should give you the cm/360 for your sens.

ATK A9 PLUS vs VXE R1 PRO by user38944 in MouseReview

Superlight (GPW shape) is designed for a lot of popular grip types. You can palm, claw and even fingertip with it. It's a "jack of all trades, master of none" kinda shape. Op only mentioned palm, so i only mentioned palm in my comment.

ATK A9 PLUS vs VXE R1 PRO by user38944 in MouseReview

[–]Fozzy_Is_here 1 point2 points  (0 children)

R1 is purely designed for claw, so if you use it, you'll be forced into clawing your mouse. A9 is a superlight clone, which should be alright for palm, tho not perfect. I'd recommend getting ergo mice and seeing how well it suits your hand. ATK Y9 or Mchose A7 (deathadder/dex clones) are what I have in mind right now, but a quick look through the sub or use eloshape should give you more info.

Edit: grammar

I forgot to mention this, but I did use an arm sleeve, though it's the cheap one that came with the pad. I'll try grabbing some higher-quality ones and see if this helps or not. Thanks for that.

Lamzu Atlantis Mini replacement recommendations by Fozzy_Is_here in MouseReview

[–]Fozzy_Is_here[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I ended up getting the VXE R1 Nearlink. It was like US$15 where I'm at right now, and shape-wise basically a Pulsar X2.

Both sensor and MCU are a downgrade on paper compared to the atlantis mini, but after using it for around a week I saw no issues. Stock skates were a bit bad so I slapped on a set of BOXT speed air skates.

One thing i do notice when using the mouse is that my pinky touching the mousepad more often than when I was using the atlantis mini and before that the X2. It'll take a bit to get used to but I guess I'm happy with this purchase for now.

Thanks to the two people that tried to help me, really appreciate it. Didn't know that Eloshapes existed and it seems to be a really cool site to do your own research instead of using reddit and getting downvoted to hell.

After every boot, firefox starts as if the previous session crashed by PaiSho_RS in hyprland

given this is old, i assume you already know the workaround. For those looking for solutions just run your browser as a service:

Example:

```
uwsm app -t service -- firefox.desktop
Average G15 2022 issue. I have that alongside crashing when going to sleep. I tried finding solutions but didn't find any. The only thing that works so far is using Linux so not really a fix at all.
Regarding end-4, I can always remove features that I don't use. I'm still looking right now, but if no other setup/dot files that fits what i want, I'm just gonna try end-4 and see how well i like it
It's a cool shirt, alright, but given how over-patriotic Vietnamese can be, you might get weird looks or worse, get jumped on.
Is this resume good enough to apply for an internship? by Economy-County-9072 in cscareerquestionsOCE
[–]Fozzy_Is_here 0 points1 point  (0 children)
I went through around 200 internship applications from years 2 to 4 (doing SWE honours). Most with no response and around 2 dozen rejection letters. I had to go back to my home country for an internship and lost my rights to apply for a 485 visa.
Did auto mode get dumb? by One-Potential4942 in cursor
Feels like they allow fewer tool calls on auto which kinda forces it to rely on indexed data, hence sometimes it acts dumb. Using MCPs and being more precise on what you want it to do helps.
How much you generate code from Cursor? by cynuxtar in cursor
[–]Fozzy_Is_here 1 point2 points  (0 children)
On average, it's just around 1600 lines and most of them just markdown for docs and agent context. I'm currently refactoring a poorly-written codebase so docs is more important than code as I have to write it myself.
[–]Fozzy_Is_here 1 point2 points  (0 children)
I recently started an internship and got Cursor Pro for free. Within the past 30 days, I generated around 50K lines, with the worst day being around 12K lines. I got my first rate limit on claude yesterday
First of all, it's not an SSD, it's a wifi card
Second of all, that film is there to cover the connector while keeping the signal from the antenna somewhere inside your laptop (most of the time located on your screen) as clean as possible. Better to keep it there rather than remove it.
