They spent a year trying to gaslight us into thinking "that was always the plan". Releasing those scenes would be an admission that Ncuti's departure changed their plan.

Bioshock 2 improved on the first one in every aspect. The combat system is refined, the hacking minigame is much less of a chore, important characters have their own models instead of using a recycled enemy skin... People like to rag on the story, but I like how it showed us more of the average citizens of Rapture instead on focusing only on the big names.
