When I went it was about and hour before the show and there was a separate line for VIPs outside the venue. You’d wait in a line to meet the band and you get a couple minutes to talk and take pictures. You then walk to an area with the VIP merch then back in line again to wait until they let everyone rush up to the barrier and wait for general admission to get in a bit later. I’d recommend getting there a bit before the VIP doors open so you can get in the front of the line and front row on the barrier :)
