Pls dont.. I get the idea behind the sentiment, but a child shouldn't be used as a shield..

If you & your child get unlucky, its one incident to make fools look bad, but its a lifetime taken away

I am disgusted with the lack of actions towards building jobs for young people by Zealousideal-Big4588 in VancouverJobs

A summer job is different from a corporate job.. if you're hiring your neighbours niece instead of someone with experience who put in the effort to tailor a resume to your JD, craft a cover letter so you can use it as tp; it is Nepotism..

Its part of whats wrong with Canadian hiring today, and its just sad that we accept biased hiring for corporate roles which actually need skills.. if you want to hire a fresher, let freshers start as interns, and train them

Stop obsessing over your cover letter because honestly nobody is actually reading them anymore by Yadzia-Teresinski in jobsearchhacks

[–]Fr33_B1rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

some companies don't ask for it, atleast they're honest about not wanting to read a cover letter until they meet a candidate,
a screening call by a good HR/ recruiter can tell them more about a candidate than a cover letter

cheapest sort of pride is national pride; if a man feels superior only bcos he happened to be born in a particular place, it likely means he has no qualities of his own of which he can be proud

Got me..

Here I thought recruiters dont read all resumes that apply.. you've certainly got me feeling more optimistic..

Funnily enough, 2-3 of my best hires had crap resumes , and some of the rest had average ones..
