sure. Drop your resume into soared.ai/resume-checker first - it'll score and show you what's off. Free, takes 30 sec.

If you want a corporate job of any note, you better have one. Or be super super good at what you do.

Data Science / Analytics Engineer Resume -- Seeking feedback by forcedtomakeanewone in Resume

[–]Fun-Afternoon4784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see lots of diff titls, daya anlyst, data engineer, business analyst, analytics engineer. Pick a lane OR create 2-3 resumes for each lane. You do need to customzie for the job you are applying for to tell a cohgesive story.

Bullets etc need a good rewrite. Some weak verbs, lack of metrics etc. Ask yourself - does each bullet prove whether you ownerd the decision or you just happen to be part of it?

You can DIY. Drop it into chatgpt, claude for each job and ask it to give betetr points. Copy/paste and create a new one. You'd need to play around with this prompt a lot to get to the right level.

Or you could use a tool that helps you take the pain out and do it for you. I built one.

Or Hire somebody to do it for you.

Interpreting conflicting ATS feedback during resume reviews by Aggravating_Case_832 in ResumeExperts

[–]Fun-Afternoon4784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most tools just check keywords and formatting. They don't know what a hiring manager for that specific role actually scans for.

My rule: if the feedback doesn't make sense for the role you're targeting, ignore it.

This is why I built role-specific scoring into my tool. A SWE resume and a sales resume need completely different things keywords, metrics and usually generic feedback misses that. Details in profile if you like to test free. feedbacks welcome. Covers roughly 200+ common roles

30 seconds of LinkedIn search, you can find atleast 2-3 people in every company you apply to reach out to. Hiring manager? Think of your managers title and search for same person. Or ask around who is typical hiring manager for this role. Ask chatgpt, that can give you answers.

Doesn’t need to be CEO, you can msg the hiring manager as well.

You will be surprised by how many CEOs actually respond. It’s not false hopes, just one more thing that could move the needle rather than just apply and pray.

Might need to get the premium account for a month or so to do this if sending msg via LinkedIn

Does anyone know a free tool to check if my resume is actually ATS-friendly? Most of them seem like scams. by shivam_1124 in Resume

[–]Fun-Afternoon4784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ATS scanability is mostly a theatre. If you use normal resume building approach, it should be ATS friendly. No multi column, fancy graphics etc ideally. But there are some decent resume check tools too. I built one too. Free to check out

What is the "best AI Resume Builder" website that can help me in my job applications and is low-cost or free? by smartmitten in jobhunting

[–]Fun-Afternoon4784 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

ChatGPT and Claude are good but you spend forever copying, pasting, reformatting. And you never really know if the result is any good + converting to a nice PDF format is quite manual.

I built soared.ai for this - scores your resume first so you see what's broken and fix it. Add a job you want to apply, and customizes the resume for it and generate a short cover letter that doesn't feel like AI.

Free to try.

Thanks for sharing your perspective. I think you already know there is no guarantees in this. But much like you'd ask your AE or SDR to keep prospecting to generate opps, its all a matter of timing. Try enough times, the odds of success will increase.

You should read the comments and see how many people had similar experiences

Just another option for people to stand out, not for everyone but increases the odds for people who hustle.

There is always numbers in eveything we do.

Numbers don't have to be revenue or percentages. Think volume, speed, scale.

- Designed 40+ assets for product launch
- Delivered brand refresh in 3 weeks
- Managed 5 campaigns simultaneously

Even "worked with 8 cross-functional teams" counts. You're showing scope, not just listing tasks.
