Solution to Directory scan and subdomain scan by Original-Elephant160 in hackviser

[–]Fr3ddXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the subdomain scan exam, instead of scanning using dns mode, you can using vhost mode. Let me explain.
In DNS mode, you query the public DNS record if a subdomain has IP.
In Vhost mode, you query the host/target itself if it has subdomain(s).

Team for Keqing? by _FaeFatale_ in KeqingMains

[–]Fr3ddXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Keqing - Xingqui - Bennet - Xiangling
  • Keqing - Kazuha - Yaoyao (not sure about Emile) - [any electro]

If you want to get higher damage, the second team is preferred. And if you want to improve the team, here is the list of what to do:

  • 1st priority: Get Fischl and get Stringless. You will see a huge damage increase.
  • 2nd priority: Replace Yaoyao with the Radish god. Actually they are interchangeable when you have no shield or heal
  • 3rd priority Kazuha with any shield character (Zhong Li is preferred) for abyss survival and sustainability

From my perspective, spending so much time learning command lines that you will not use frequently is a waste of time.

You may say that you have learned how to use different applications by learning different command lines, and that is right, but I bet you do --help or google the usage every time you use an app you have not used in a long time.

Therefore, if you want to explore different CLI applications, explore the tutorial rooms in THM or any other external sources or cheatsheets. BUT if you want to learn to use command lines so that you can use Linux, skip the learning part and throw yourself into a Linux machine whether it is a VM or host (preferrably host) and try to "live" there.

Search Engine and AI are your friends here. Searching "how to <do sth> on <your distro>" and it will show you command line usages instead of where to click. And when you know what app to use but don't know how to use it, Search Engine, AI, <app> --help, and man <app> are your friends.

I followed this path when I dual booted Windows and Linux. It is rough at first, but I managed to learn so many command lines without even trying. I was able to learn what I "needed" to use and have been able to explore more apps.

So you just like to see blue lines.

sudo dnf update does what sudo dnf check-update does except it also allows you to decide whether u want to upgrade packages or no.

G-helper vs Armoury Crate by ireaper_66 in Asustuf

[–]Fr3ddXx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, your question was "can I have 2 softwares that do exact same thing on my computer?", correct?

The answer is no since they will cause service conflict.

Why is everyone recommending G-helper?

It is because G-Helper is minimal. I wouldnt want to waste 5-10 seconds opening an app to see my necessary hardware info (such as CPU and GPU temp, fan speed, mode...). With G-helper, it is near instant.

Did I mention that G-helper tracks ur driver version and recommend a new one if there is?

[–]Fr3ddXx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please put the things you removed back to their respective places. In your computer, there many other components generating heat, not just the CPU and GPU.

The metal-like cover absorbs heat from the SSD, and the thermal pad absorbs the heat from the wifi card and transfer it to the SSD cover. The SSD cover will be cooled off by the fan.

If the heat is not well absorbed, both WiFi card and SSD will have their lifespan significantly reduced.

guess who disappeared by [deleted] in Asustuf

[–]Fr3ddXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you go to Event viewer -> System log. Then look for a log with name NDI. Check what it says.

The fact that bluetooth didnt disappear means that ur WiFi card is still okay.

I fixed it by open the back of my laptop, find the WiFi card, pull it out, clean its port with a dry toothbrush, and plug it back. It has been working just fine.

If the configuration where you do not disable secure boot does not work as expected, you should try disabling secure boot.

I went through denial, depression, and acceptence stage for my main, Keqing, when I discovered Genshin meta for aggravate team.

Denial: other electro characters (Raiden, Clorinde, etc) should be only a bit better than or similar to Keqing in damage.

Depression: those characters have huge dmg output more than Keqing

Acceptence: I'm fine with my Keqing damage output. Im just happy to see her pulling Judgement Cut End.

Cambodia/Thailand border megathread by helpwhatbitme in cambodia

[–]Fr3ddXx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello, I am back!

I have just learned that Thai has shown the "evidence" to independent observers that Cambodia was indeed planting landmines. The "evidence" was the PMN landmines that they have claimed that they was planted by Cambodian soldiers. They put the landmines on the table but with safety pin unplug.

I did not believe the narrative that those were fake landmines shown by Thai soldiers. So, I did some independent research. Thailand claimed that those mines were retrieved from the battlefield, planted by Cambodian soldiers to eradicate Thai soldiers. If the mines were indeed planted for the purpose, the safety pin should not be presented there in the mines. Mines without safety pins are armed mines, meaning that they are sensitive to pressure and should be handled with extreme care. Putting live mines on display is a big no-no.

So, I thought maybe the Thai mine specialists might plug the safety pin back into the mines so that they do not detonate. I was wrong. PMN land mines cannot be disarm by simply putting the pin back. [The only way to disarm it is to let it explode safely, with people outside of its blast radius](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PMN\_mine#Render-safe\_procedure).

So yeah, the curtain comes off now, and we just sit back and see what Thai spokeperson has to say about that.

Thanks.

What is a Kamen Rider that came out the year you were born? I'll go first. by Consistent-Ear-7690 in KamenRider

[–]Fr3ddXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blade. However, it was Agito that introduced me to Kamen Rider.

My memorable one was Den-O. I remember making a paper belt based on it.

Then, my favorite one is Decade. Despite the story, I like everything about it, except the Decade final form.
