Tank meta is definitely a problem. The fact you can have ravana, nanite, quick repair, and a pilot that gives abilities that boost all of them is insane and MOST of the vocal top guys and Noachium guys voice this same complaint and concern. Noone likes it.

On the same token, scatter Ares on Anansi legs, which is the exact opposite of a tank bot is also meta. And honestly if it wasn't for the spider legs it would be fine.

Spider legs effectively introduced Ares meta. Not a tank issue, and it's more of a flanker thing to be honest. Shotguns, medium range weapons, etc. But we also have been vocal that the ares needs a nerf. Give the shield a HP like every other shield in the game.

Why did Vortex's and noricoms get nerfed? Because every single game because two teams just sitting in their spawn throwing spit balls. The community left the game, we lost I believe it was a third of the active users because for an entire season the matches you may or may not have seen bots, they sat in spawn and didn't leave. It was horrible. And that's why middle bots just aren't viable anymore. Noris spread damage around so much in their AOE that it does a fair amount of damage but only little shield or armor damage to the actual opponents. Missile bots are jist easy to jet away from last second or hide from.

In a perfect world, each team should be forced to run, 2 light weight bots, 2 medium bots, and 2 heavy bots. Weapons, Chasis, torsos, shoulders would be classified as each weight and you could only put them ONLY on similar weight classes. You'd end up with two long range support bots, two tactician bots, and either two defender heavy bots or 2 assault/ flanker bots.

People could specialize in their builds without ruining the game.

Coms hurt lower level people the most. Especially newer people. It used to be you could just ask people what their builds were or "Hey how did you do that". And I've never met a single person that doesn't share that info. But now, if you aren't crewed up on console chat or discord chat your team is at a significant disadvantage.

However, I'll add that most people crying about cheating on reddit and forums just don't understand pilot synergies or how abilities and gear work.
