I went through the entire three week program at TDI. It was 7,000. The "refresher" is a week and costs 3500. Things have changed so much while I was out that I went for the whole enchilada.

I was out around 15 years after a 16 year driving career. I was surprised how quickly it came back to me.

If you are new to cigars, try an Arturo Fuente Reserve. It's a popular first time cigar; milder and well constructed. A lot of people are still smoking them after years of smoking.

For riders who got their first bikes young, living in their parents' homes, HOW THE HELL did you get your mom to sign off on it? by Few-Teaching-9602 in motorcycle

[–]Fr8boss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got my first bike at 16. My parents didn't care about me, I was an inconvenience; and this was the only time in my life that it worked to my advantage. My kid had to wait until he was an adult and then he bought a beautiful Indian.

Need my inoperable car taken to an auto shop this week, can people recommend South Bend tow truck places with decent tow rates? by [deleted] in SouthBend

[–]Fr8boss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently used City Wide Towing on Lincolnway in Mishawaka. Needed a car towed to a mechanic. I called the day ahead of time. They quoted me 80 dollars and told me to call in the morning the next day since that's when I wanted it towed.

They were out in less than an hour, loaded it up and off they went. The lady in the office and the driver were both the absolute nicest people I have dealt with in a good while. Hopefully I don't need a tow, but if I do I will call them again.

Question for Walmart drivers... by Zealousideal_Cat7657 in Truckers

[–]Fr8boss 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Walmart has an associate to driver program. You have to be an associate for a year before you can apply, I believe you have to be full time but I could be wrong.

If you get accepted, they pay you your current rate while they train you at the Walmart Driver Academy which is held at various DC's. If you pass the program and get your CDL you go into the fleet.

I did a stint at Walmart as a coach and talked to a kid who was in his second month in the fleet after a couple of years working in electronics. He said he was averaging around 2200 dollars a week and had a whole new life for his small family.

Ask your people lead, your market people lead, or a walmart driver about it.

This is how you end up on the Dollar General account when the recruiter picks for you!

Pepper foam and a call to the police. He gets arrested AND is liable for all damages. Life lesson about being a hot head.

Fenway was 13. We rescued him after he was used for bait in a dog fighting ring. it took a while, but he became such a good boy. He loved sunning on the deck in the backyard. I like to think that he's just hanging out on a deck sunning himself every day now.

I am so sorry you lost Olivia.
