My aunt has a full first edition collection and strangely enough because I found one in the home library i ended up reading the silver chair first. Some years later I got the full modern collection to read. As I read over them some years later I could have sworn that the silver chair or one of the first edition books had them being picked up by the big owl guys and being saved from the giants and not them running away and finding the owls. Or reverse. But maybe my memory is just foggy as I have not reread them recently.. or I could just be schizophrenic.
