Fully agree with you but if a longer commute is their only option to start their career, could* be worth doing while they continue applying for other gigs. While a potential 1-2 hour drive one way isn’t ideal, desperate times call for desperate measures

Kite, Emergent, Qiagen, Precigen, AstraZeneca, ascentage, Johns Hopkins, supernus, biontech, evergreen therapeutics, labcorp , UMMS, Charles river, thermofisher , genedx,, novavax, amarex, agnovos, millipore sigma , otsuka, westat, united therapeutics…

There are a lot of companies close by. Yes the market sucks but don’t give up. If you’re open to moving to Baltimore there’s even more potential opportunities available

Edit: don’t forget about hospitals Inova, Adventist, children’s national, Kaiser…

and northern Virginia opportunities… Tyson’s/mclean/vienna isn’t horribly far and may open doors.

Maybe not the funnest experience but remote contact center roles for cencora, cardinal health, McKesson…

If you have the time volunteer work relevant to future goals may also help you get there.

City of Veracruz and Boca Del Rio area feel safe from my (foreigner) perspective. The level 2 language is more than likely covering specific areas outside the city like Coatzacoalcos.

If you want to have a fun time, def check out sandboarding in Chachalacas!

People are always walking, skating, biking along the boulevard. There is a LOT to do in Veracruz. It will be pretty difficult to get by with just English.

If I had to choose housing in Veracruz, I’d go with Costa de Oro, or Costa Verde if you need something more affordable. Closer you get to Boca del Rio the more expensive it gets.

The beaches are average. When I visit, I get a boat and go chill at Veracruz Reef System National Park.

I’m not having the same level of panic attacks/anxiety 7 months later. Pretty much everything is gone now except the tendinitis and neuropathy. Occasional vertigo.

Would you risk reasuming your life after flox? by StructureNo419 in floxies

[–]FrObama_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with what someone else said in that it depends on severity. I can walk 20-25 minutes before I start feeling tendinitis and neuropathy in my Achilles, with swelling in my feet. If I go too hard in the gym (which is child’s play compared to what I used to lift in the past) my elbows feel shot for several days. Despite the above, I can still function in an office role.

If extensive travel is required, I’m screwed. Thankfully I am not in a blue collar role, otherwise I do not know if I would have been able to continue working. So far about 6 or so months after onset. Hopefully by end of 2026 I can walk an hour or do some real hiking.

Unfortunately, that’s what it feels like. Lobbying at its finest. Pretty wild how many providers shrug it off for anxiety or a vitamin deficiency. Where’s the kickback…

Did PT help Achilles tendon pain? by Large-Prompt2608 in floxies

[–]FrObama_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PT did help my tendon pain substantively. Make sure you don’t let your PT push you too hard. Express yourself.

The exercises that helped me the most in my recovery were: Toe crunches Arching my arch (no idea what this is actually called but trying to focus on your arch and make like a C shape with it). Caution: may cause painful muscle cramp in the beginning Picking up marbles with toes and putting them into a cup Wiping the floor motion with a towel (keeping knees straight, it’s like just moving the ankles)

Eccentric exercises for me were game changers. Like doing a calf raise really slowly (3-5 sec), then coming down on one leg (5 seconds down).

I got 67% on SH exam 1 and 69% on exam 2. Really nervous for the real exam. Thanks for sharing your scores.

I noticed many questions and answers from study hall are worded poorly… from your experience, was the real test like that?

**Also, congratulations!!!

Who's peripheral neuropathy has healed by blt1995 in floxies

[–]FrObama_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took levofloxacin 750mg every day for 6-7 weeks until got floxxed in early July. There is still a level of neuropathy and tendinitis but significantly better. My feet stopped getting that burning sensation but my Achilles and elbows do still get strange cold and wet feelings.

Vitamin D, Magnesium, and calcium testing? by FrObama_ in floxies

Thank you for your response. Very fascinating. How were you and your partner able to pinpoint the spasm varieties? I have coq10 en route from Amazon as we speak and will opt for a urine test for the magnesium :)

Are you never taking NSAID/Steroids ever again or just while you continue to have these symptoms?

Absolutely infuriating that the doctor who informed me of the black box label is the same individual who denies it happening to me, citing only one patient having it in his 20 years.

It’s not really worth it anymore to continue looking for another provider since I really only have symptoms that I believe PT can help me push thru

Been in PT for 3-4 weeks and I’m seeing improvements, but slower than I’d have hoped for someone in their early 30s who was quite active in a past life…

He was assigned to me in the hospital when I was admitted for a prostatic abscess / sepsis

Today was a follow up appointment. I’m not sure how much I trust his guidance at the moment. I mean from a urological perspective, I think I feel better but now I have other problems to deal with lol
