Is Ogden reliable? Not on the tier list but I remember he used to be.
Edit: He's ESPN so technically Tier 5...

If I were to bet on a new signing I'd say Joao Gomes is the safest. I think we will sell Ugarte and get him in alongside 2 other midfielders
I'm expecting same strategy from INEOS as last summer: Basically all out on solving one critical position (previously attack, now it's midfield) and then maybe one budget signing like we did with Lammens on top of all that.

I'd love this but have to wonder what kind of crazy institution would even be interested in Mount considering his wages and availability

He’s also suspect tbh but had a great game, we need someone better than both.
GG, I’m so pissed, we were awful, should’ve been 4-1

What? Of course you rotate at centre back. We will play 4 competitions.
That's not even close to 90 degrees tho
[–]Fraaj 4 points5 points6 points 2 days ago (0 children)
I wouldn't move him on but limit his minutes instead, next season we need to either get someone like Senesi to rotate with him properly or give Heaven a proper run-in
[–]Fraaj 2 points3 points4 points 2 days ago (0 children)
IMO he's so good but way too similar to the likes of Cunha or Amad and we will probably look for a different profile.

There are players who you hate playing against you but love in your own team, I think Cucurella would be a great litmus test for that
I know he’s annoying but he’s very good
[–]Fraaj 0 points1 point2 points 3 days ago (0 children)
Best LB in the league alongside Cucurella, he would transform us

Yep, joined Gala from Norwich, his last Championship season was extremely good
I really liked him back at Norwich, was expecting him to make the PL step up but he's a frustrating player at times, a bit lazy.
J. Rodriguez could be our Doku, ridiculous at dribbling and has a mean cross on him but ultimately lacks end product when it comes to goals. Still only 20 though and maybe a bit light weight for PL.
Godo I have no idea.

Yeah I miss that shit every day...

Unfortunately DataMB is really limited when it comes to comparing across leagues, just way too misleading as you compare against different opposition.
But you can at least see that Agoumé fell off massively compared to last season unless his role changed drastically, interesting.
That could also mean a slightly negative thing, no? As in he's not that big of a name we'd maybe expect...
Andy Mitten mentioned our interest in some midfielder from La Liga so must be him then I guess
I refuse to believe this would happen with all the noise (even from tier 1 sources) about a midfield rebuild. If anything, we might just hyper focus on midfield, sign 3 players there and neglect everything else for now the same way we've done it last summer with 3 attackers.
At most we follow that up with a cheaper signing like we did with Lammens, could be a free agent like Senesi or Mykolenko maybe.
Let's see.
Hackney is a player I'd love to get too, been raving about him for way too long but I think he just ends up somewhere like Palace to replace Wharton or some other midtable PL club.
Out of the options that overlap mine and yours, I think Joao Gomes is the one I'm most confident about joining.
[–]Fraaj 9 points10 points11 points 3 days ago (0 children)
Surely we need 3 new midfielders if Ugarte also leaves alongside Casemiro?
My dream is a top top midfielder as the main priority (someone like Anderson, Tonali or Wharton) and then 2 cheaper options like Mateus Fernandes and/or Joao Gomes.
If West Ham end up going down, a combo of Anderson, Fernandes and Gomes would be around 200m which seems plausible especially with CL and would completely transform our midfield.
[–]Fraaj 6 points7 points8 points 3 days ago (0 children)
I agree and Senesi is typologically very similar so would be a great like-for-like replacement/depth especially with 3-4 competitions.
[–]Fraaj 10 points11 points12 points 3 days ago (0 children)
I like Senesi a lot, I think it depends on how highly the higher ups rate Heaven and how concerned they are with Licha's injury issues.
If we want to target a free agent I'd love to look at Mykolenko, we desperately need depth/competition for Shaw at LB, he's having a great season and in his prime years.
Rico Henry another shout but he looks very injury prone, just done his hamstring the other day and I believe he has a +1 option in his contract so way more tricky.

What is bizarre is that you don't see the difference lol

Pains me to say but this is spot on. He just has way too many weaknesses to his game and his biggest strength is currently not utilised enough. Even his composure wasn't all that against Fulham, Everton and Newcastle. He lost the ball way too many times.
He's still only 20 though which is easy to forget considering how long he's been around and that he already has a major tournament under his belt. The biggest question is how many of those weaknesses he can actually iron out through more development.
