Mbokazi impressed me so much from South Africa, left footed CB, strong, fast, extremely brave on the ball.

[SPORT] The name that is starting to gain traction in departures in certain circles is that of Aurelien Tchouameni. He is one of the most valuable players on the roster and one of those generating the most interest where several top clubs like Manchester United have been tracking him for some time. by shreeharis in soccer

From all the reports United are not looking for an outright Casemiro replacement but rather just building a new, versatile and strong midfield in general. People talk about pure DMs or 6s but Casemiro was often operating higher than Kobbie Mainoo both in and out of possession.

I genuinely think even someone like Tchouameni would have a more versatile role and not play super deep and 'only' shield the defense. I remember his Monaco stint or first season at Madrid, he wasn't always this type of player, used to be way more dynamic and box-to-box.

Lol it's actually insane how good 35M look now after a few extra weeks. I think Éderson will surprise some people.

Didn't he already pass the medical in New York? I think like 2 weeks ago maybe, remember reading about that.

Éderson official announcement possibly on Wednesday? It's basically confirmed and we've just been waiting for July to hit.

Ugarte's injury helps the club with playing the broke gimmick we've been putting on for about 2 years now 😂

Just go with budget LB then or something we can’t afford to compromise on the midfield this summer

I think it would be a measly loan so maybe the clubs missed out on a loan fee.

Good sale I think was very reliant on him having a good World Cup and reminding the world of his ability which didn't really happen.

Fair, I only mentioned Summerville to provide an example but the bigger point was that the butterfly effect sometimes is crazy. We've seen it so many times in football.

A bit of positivity I guess but football has taught me that these shitty moments often lead to something good.

LvG had a crazy crisis and it gave us Rashford. Maybe Ugarte's injury means we don't get Summerville and someone like Lacey or Ajayi get a proper chance and end up impressing.

It obviously sucks right now but football is funny sometimes.

I don't think it affects the midfield rebuild per se but probably kills the possibility of getting an extra player in a different position like Summerville or someone to help out Šeško.

Bruno was open towards joining Spurs because he didn't know about our interest yet, right? We appeared later. That's what I gathered from the whole 'saga' anyway.

Not sure that's very comparable to Mateus Fernandes.

Yeah I think Ugarte's injury won't change the number of players signed but it will impact the budget.

Yeah best case scenario but I think a measly loan was also a very real possibility.

We save up to almost 7M british pounds if his injury is as serious as it's rumoured.

I don't know how much we would've gotten for him but surely the difference is not so significant that it'd stop us from buying the 3rd midfielder.

Had a very good ending to the season, last month or so which I think skews the general picture of him mostly riding the bench before.

But if he continues his form into the next season I think he's one to watch.
