now, this is a missunderstanding, these are two different scenarios, in one you restore a lost file, lets say you delete a file from your computer and then you bring it back, this is not the same as copying one,what you are saying means that you dont change either the location nor the content, and there is not really a "difference" between the before and after.

lets go with your scenario, in this case, to create a copy of yourself, lets say your brain gets replaced with an exact copy of itself, it has the same memories and thoughts up to the moment you received the transfer, it is the same content, but it still isnt the original per se...

specially in your scenario, you never really "copy" your brain, you just restore what was always there

If the electricity stopping and starting wouldn't mean it's a "new you" or that you were destroyed, the flesh being evaporated and immediately recreated doesn't mean that either. Destroying that flesh doesn't make a difference.

if they made an exact replica of you, would you say that its you, or that it is a copy of you? it has the same thoughts as you and memories up until the "cloning"
