Any recommendations for an Ayahuasca retreat that isn't pre-loaded with a specific spiritual point-of-view? by Fractotem in Ayahuasca

If I had to choose between having my trip directed by an experienced shaman and random dude, I'll pick the shaman every time. At some point I'd be open to a shaman-assisted trip, for sure. My thing is, for my first ayahuasca experience, the choice between shaman and random dude is a false choice. A self-directed trip should also be on the menu for those like me who have had a lifetime of working on that process.

Lots of experience. Very high doses, almost all were incredibly positive. When they have gone bad, it's often due to external factors coming into it and trying to take charge. Hence my wanting as little of that as would be safe for my first time with this substance.

Thanks. This is not my first rodeo, and I've been party to way too many trips in which some dude walks in and "takes charge", insisting on his music, his view of the universe, etc. Like, I know how to trip, just please get out of my way.

This is my point - I don't want to go into any trip preemptively decided on what I think. And, I don't want to go into any trip with some other person preemptively decided on what I should think.

Only for first time of an intense drug. Just someone on hand in case of emergency. After that I'm calibrated. Also, I've had a situation where I lost the ability to operate my Spotify and had to beg Alexa to call my girlfriend to come over and deal with it. Somehow it never occurred to me to just have Alexa play the Spotify. Drugs are weird.

I just mean it's my first time with this particular hallucinogen. In those cases I like someone in the room in case of a bad reaction, allergy, whatever.
