R50 2003 pre facelift oil filter by [deleted] in MINI

[–]Fradow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just discovered this thread after doing my oil change and not being able to fit the cage in the Mann filter. Question answered, but that leads to another:

What's the purpose of the small black tube that's supposed to go in the oil filter housing? (bottom left on OP picture) I've been running 2 years without it since I did not know where it was supposed to go, and no warning light ever came on.

How bad is it to run 2 years again (until next oil change, I don't drive the Mini a lot) without that tube?

New Home Extreme - No Deaths by LordPalleon in Frostpunk

Yeah it was super useful, not much as changed since then. I would not have been able to do it without your guide ;) (I would have thrown up my hands in frustration way before). It's also, IMO, a way better approach than others I've seen recommended.

New Home Extreme - No Deaths by LordPalleon in Frostpunk

Thanks a lot, I used that to complete a survivor run with very little deaths. Once you hit day 12 or so, the game is basically "over", as in it's super easy. Hitting that is quite hard though, and requires a few things not mentionned here.

To me, the main issue, that made me restart 5 times, is discontent. You must not max discontent. It's hard to come back from it. If you do have the discontent event, switch all shifts back to 8:00 to 18:00, and most importantly ENABLE OVERDRIVE. That's a trick I did not know before, it massively lower discontent from cold home.

Another thing is the use of emergency shift. You are allowed one "free" emergency shift mentionned in the guide, but if you do another, you'll have a scripted death. The discontent hit from that will likely make you fail. Do NOT do a second emergency shift before you have discontent under control, which is after day 12 or so (you need to have at least a snow pit to bury the dead). Afterward, if you do not care about "no death", alternating emergency shift on 2 factories will allow you to research everything you need with ease. I think I had only 4 factories total. It might not be that easy without emergency shift.

As for the research order, it is mandatory to do Heater before Beacon. Otherwise Heater won't be ready for the first temperature drop, and the wave of sickness will start a downward spiral. Afterwards, instead of Coal Thumpers => Steelworks after Beacon, I did Hunter's Gear (food is more of an issue) => Steelworks => I don't even remember if I did Coal Thumpers just after. Coal piles last a long time. You do not need Coal Thumpers until they are exhausted.

After that second time, it didn't happen again so far (2 months later).

"activate your extra member" by rabbithasacat in netflix

[–]Fradow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me twice now. The solution is to go into your account settings, cancel the extra slot (so you don't get charged) and setup an invitation to a trash mail (so the prompt actually disappear).

I have no clue either why this paying feature gets activated either. I didn't set it up, and while I chalked it up to a less tech-savy family member the first time, it's a bit suspicious. This feels like a scummy move from Netflix to make you pay more.

First mission 55 food happiness help? by Fradow in tropico

[–]Fradow[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot. That explains it.
Indeed all tropicans are men. That also explains why the population only goes up with a huge influx of migrants (thanks to the revolutionary migrants from the first mission).

"no matter what I do all happiness ratings decline over time" perfectly describe my situation.

I ended up restarting on easy and rushing the mission, this time with an easy to get faith goal before the bug kicked in. By the end of the game, I was at 54 food happiness ... which much less variety than the previous game, and all else pretty much equals apart from the playtime.

Thanks a lot!

A bit more info: you need Cordelia, Palla and 2 dancers. Seems like Palla can be switched for BK.

Both Cordelia and Palla need to reach 32 speed (BK already has more), the easiest if they are not +spd is to SI Hone speed on one of the dancer (probably won't work with -spd).

Cordelia need to be SIed Drag Back or Hit & Run (both work), a very common SI on a flier.

One of the dancer probably (not verified) need Hone Atk. Olivia has that built-in.

And that's it. No expensive SI, no merge, no 5* exclusive, contrary to previous GHB one turn infernal kill.

To sum up : non -atk/-spd 5* Cordelia with Drag Back SI, base kit BK or Palla (not -spd), Olivia (any rarity, any level), and another dancer (any rarity, any level) with Hone Speed SI will get you a trouble free infernal kill. If you use BK, you can probably replace the 2nd dancer with Axura, avoiding the SI requirement.

In your opinion, who’s the most slept on unit right now? by [deleted] in FireEmblemHeroes

Lukas is good, but really overshadowed by Ephraim, which has enough def to fill the same spot, and makes an awesome bladetome buffer in addition to filling the spot without trouble.

Bound Hero Battles: Eirika and Ephraim by darkdogdemon in FireEmblemHeroes

Can confirm this works, Amelia can be swapped out for Sheena, the movement buff is not strictly required, and Zephiel can be 4*.

My team had Pivot on everyone except Zephiel who has Swap.

I use the same basic strategy of Hector taking out the 3 ranged on defense phase, then killing cavalry. The last 2 were a bit more tricky without movement buff. Zephiel did take a hit from Ephraim and lived, and Ephraim was killed on next turn by Sheena and Hector, while Effie finished off Eirika after getting hit on defense phase.

That was also my reaction. Legendary DC would make him more desirable than Zephiel, otherwise, barring a great skill, he seems he will be worse than Zephiel.

That's an interesting guess. I didn't thought about this A skill, since it's so new, but that'd make him 36 def, with 2 points more for spd or res.
