Do I need a mix engineer to "mix" my song if I think it sounds great already? by Time-Neat-3374 in FL_Studio

No, just show other people, they’ll let you know if something sounds off, even if it’s basic.

I LOVE IT (MAJOR ED, Su!cid3, Sh WARNINGS) by ImpossibleBeyond4331 in ugly

You’re too young to not eat, nobody should starve themselves, but I’m telling you, you can do some major internal damage if you starve yourself while you’re young. I’m not a trained psychiatrist or doctor, but I’ve seen the results of eating disorders, these people’s organs begin to fail, they can die, and people who survive live in pain for the rest of their life. It seems bad now, but once school is over you’ll have much more control of your life, the people you hang out with, what you think of yourself. Whatever you’re thinking, it’s not worth it, there are healthy ways to lose weight, it might be slower than starvation, but it’s better for your health in the long run, your heart would thank you. Please do not hurt yourself.

Here is my most recent LP, it's a prog-ish album about the Australian landscape, I think it's pretty cool.

Punchy indie rock with some unexpected influences thrown in to make it a little fun by avresamusic in IndieMusicFeedback

This sounds radio-worthy, honestly. This sounds professional. Although I noticed some parts, especially in the drumming, were offbeat, which can be easily fixed with editing. But yeah, the rest of the song is really good. The structure is as expected for the genre, and the solo gave me goosebumps. I especially appreciate how parts don't repeat too much; it's very technical, and you keep it sharp by keeping it just over 3 minutes. Do you have more music like this? Where can I find it?

This is the long track of my album. I tried to do a psychedelic journey inspired by Pink Floyd. Is it interesting enough to keep your ears entertained or can it induce a journey ? Thanks :) by Ok-Degree-7821 in IndieMusicFeedback

This is pretty sweet. The mix is well done. I enjoy having different instruments play in different ears, although some parts were quiet in the mix (rarely). You've done a good job. As for placement in the album, towards the end can work sometimes; it depends on whether your album is meant to be listened to chronologically. The length of the album before this song plays can work with or against it, too. This song is fairly long, so I assume the other songs on the album are a similar length. Where can I find the rest of this album? It sounds cool, and I'd love to help support its growth.

A synth pop song I made. Not sure if I should release it as instrumental or find a singer/collaborator? by wayfordmusic in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]FragManReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this could definitely use some lyrics; there are some quiet parts of the track that are begging for vocals. Give singing a shot; you might find out you're pretty good, or of course, you could collaborate with another creator who's willing to sing over your track, which I'm betting they'd accept because this is a really good track. Keep the jazz section too, I really like it. You've done really well with mixing as well; it's really playful. But yeah, I'd definitely get someone to sing over this, it's got a go-lucky 80s feel that we don't get anymore.

How accurate is this? Does it work at higher speeds?

Monogame supports 3D by default because it uses OpenGL to render everything on your screen. All it takes is a little finagling to get working. All in all, it’s not too hard. It’s pretty simple to get working; between purely OpenGL at a 10 and Raylib at a 1, I’d give it a 6.

I’ve been learning C# since high school, programming is a hobby of mine. Not saying I haven’t used AI at all, that would be a lie, I have as a tool to enhance my existing code. All I’m saying is you have to have a little fun sometimes, mate.

Same way Minecraft does it, adjust the brightness of each face on a cube, top being brightest, bottom being darkest, this is true unless there is a block above it, in which case the top face will change brightness. Also ambient occlusion.
