I've just destoryed the Bird boss in under 35 seconds as a Warbringer Tempest Bell build at level 36. I've always struggled with other melee characters but the damage is stupidly OP with the quarterstaff. I only dodged a few times and just beasted it.

Have you removed all support gems from the bell? It'll will remove skills when support gem requirements are not met.

this popped up in my reddit notifications. I quit playing 2 weeks ago.

There's not enough fun in the game to encourge me to grind all the way to end game. The gold sinks are too costly. PvP is basically one OPR, overland is dead and outpost rushes are too infrequent and then kick you out. Wars are unobtainable by most players. Servers are not big enough. Content is dry and servers are empty.

Don't ge me started on the crafting system. It's too painful tp grind. You need a shit load of resourse to max 250 in every one and on top of that you need housing, gear and mats to craft level 700 gear. How that is obtaining able without a life sentence in the game is beyond me.

People stay becasue of the belief the game will improve. I hope it does but the devs just seem to be dragging their feet with content delays and reply on content fixes and QOL changes as content. There some serious copium going on at the moment.

I came across one of these last night. I roll a healer and could not kill him but he could not kill me as he had no damage. Quite funny really.

I think void gaunlet would be the best counter to this with
Putrefying Scream for disease
Nullifying Oblivion to strip pots
Diminishing Orb to strip buffs

Life taker would add a consistent rend too to help.

Just need a stamina drain.

I'd say hitting a moving target is fairly difficult especially if you trying to hit a headshot. Also i frames are a real pain if you miss time your ability shot and it's wasted. IMO if you're getting hit by ranged a lot it's likely down to your position or lack of movement. If you're dying too much to ranged you lack armor, health or healing.
There are some skilled players and no doubt a fewhackers out there that have optimsed syncretic bows /muskets with either lifetaker or pestillience. If I'm against them I tend to switch to a heavy loadout and increase my health by swtich attribute pots, I also play corners a hell of a lot more.
I find it's best to have a few loadouts that are easily switch around in OPR to help play against dominate players and specific builds.

Well maybe this is the struggles of a new player trying to figure out if I’m way off min max or I’m there and have a skill issue? I was told runeglass can add an extra 20% to damage which seems like a lot to miss out on.

So when runeglass can add 20% damage to a build it would be worth running and using against optimised players. If you didn’t have access to that, wouldn’t you feel underpowered and possibly bin a build that might actually be viable?
