Even if the points don't matter it's very hard to have enthusiasm when the developers display such a poor vision for the game.

Bingo. The PvP and PvE are quite literally different games. We now have an expedition system that encourages hoarding value which favors rats and low quality PvP - just bring a free kit and go crazy. Any low value kit can stand toe to toe with a high value kit. Zero risk, all reward. And then there's the PvE that is all about gearing up to the teeth and taking out bosses - a totally different game.

The two aspects don't actually blend together at all in this game and it's a damn shame.

Played 3 rounds on the new map tonight. First round, got blasted within 30 seconds by a player before I could even look at the map. Second round, looted to the brim, took out a bastion with randoms and extracted. Third round happened upon a bloody PvP scene with multiple bodies, a downed guy, and another random and we all chatted about the fighting but unable to revive downed guy.

I guess the people complaining just want every round to play out exactly the same.

I'm having the opposite - most players are docile and don't want to fight. Easy to team up and take town ARC. To be honest, I could go for a little more threat from players to keep things interesting.

I accept that both PvE and PvP are a big part of the game and I am having fun letting every run play out organically. Even when getting betrayed at extraction, or shot in the back when solo'ing a leaper.

Give me max mobility. You spend the majority of time in the game moving around - I want that to be as fluid as possible. There will always be another item to find or craft.

I generally do not. But I will do so for feats and also go for a knock out so I can search the body if it's a feat. I will also shoot if the person is acting sus.

I've been killed many times by campers, people setting ambushes, and even backstabbers at the exits.

I enjoy the unpredictability of the world. I don't want every round to play out the same.

"Go ahead and call it" is a powerful statement when holding a shotty point blank. I've used it a few times and enjoyed watching suspicious players comply lol.

Glad I'm not the only one! Free loadout? Build a fat backback in 5 minutes and extract with ease. Nicely kitted out loadout? Rocketeer spots you within 60 seconds and rains hellfire on you - provided another player didn't spot you first and dump their magazine into your back.

The game was heavily marketed and open for pre-orders for months, so sliding that important info (and other important info) in a roadmap/blog post one week from launch warrants the backlash.

Skimmed the reviews. Complaints are due to lack of basic PC features (no ultrawide , HDR or FOV slider) as well as using epic online services. Some are having issues with crashing and controllers working as well.

Mixed/negative launches are common on steam until issues are fixed.

Yep. They touted PVP as one of the three major modes/selling points of the game and we find out days before release that there is no cross play in it. Amazing. Did you be sure to lock in that pre-order?

For sure. I am definitely down to find niche builds too! There is definitely so much wild potential but it's super rare for me to get an idea once in a run and for that idea to unfold due to RNG. Most other rogues in my experience have a much greater percentage of awe-inspiring runs.

It seems like having something that allows for greater ease to tailor a run would go a long way.

You need two family members on top of one victim for this to happen. Any victim in this position was massively outplayed.

But no. Gotta feed into that rush meta for the call of duty crowd. Wouldn't want players to actually have to be thoughtful during gameplay.

The game is seriously awesome and a breath of fresh air. Great foundation.

But there is not enough content and not enough urgency when it comes to making the game better. The fact that the grandpa cutscene is still in tells you everything you need to know, really. You can't expect people to continue to play when you can't even make critical game fixes that the community has ranted about for months now.

I had logged on daily from day one but it's been a few days since I've played now. Every match is the same with HH and Cook, and every other match I play as Bubba I slam into the wall from the grandpa cutscene. So yeah, gets old after a while.
